chapter two

My alarm woke me up.

I smacked my phone and the alarm turned off. And then I sat up and yawned.

I heard footsteps coming up the stairs, my mom probably heard me fall off of the bed.

"Sweetheart breakfast is ready, come downstairs when you're dressed." My mom said, and then I heard her make her way back downstairs.

I groaned and then got up off the floor, I looked around my room for something to wear and then saw a black sleeveless crop top and light blue mom jeens.

I walked towards the dresser and before reaching it I stubbed my toe on the leg of my footboard.

"FUCKING HELL!" I yelled and grabbed my foot.

After fifteen minutes I finally decided to get dressed but instead of the black crop I decided to wear the white version of it.

I walked over to the mirror. My brunette hair with waves, my dark green eyes, and my pale skin.

I opened my door and walked downstairs into the kitchen where I saw a plate on the island table and saw a note next to the plate.

Noel,
I got a call from work and they needed me early, there is a bagel on the counter and coffee in the pot. I hope you have an amazing day!

Ok, I guess she left whatever. I thought to myself.

I grabbed the bagel and walked over to the fridge, I opened it and grabbed an Arizona Tea and walked back over to the island table and sat down.

I finished my bagel so I looked at the time, shit! The school bus is gonna be here in two minutes.

I ran upstairs and grabbed my backpack, I ran back downstairs and grabbed my phone and Arizona Tea that I'm saving for first period.

When I got outside I saw the school bus coming so I walked to the end of my street where the other kids from my street meet the bus.

I saw Lance standing at the bus stop, I quickly walked over to the bus stop and said "Hi Lance." He turned his head, "Oh, heyy Noel!" He replied.

The bus stopped infront of us and he let me get in first, I walked up into the bus and walked to my seat. I watched as Lance made his way to the back of the bus.

I grabbed my airpods out of my pocket and put them in my ears then put music on and leaned my head onto the window.

I walked off the school bus and met up with my friends: Cassidy, Ava, Renee.

"How are you guys?" I asked them, "Good." Cassidy and Ava replied, "I'm okay." Renee answered. "What's wrong?" I asked, she looked at me, "Just not a good day, my dad—" She said and then got cut off by: "Noel!" All my friends turned around including me, it was Noah....

Shit.. Noah walked over and stopped infront of me, "Hi, Noah." I said, "Hey! Thanks for giving me back my notebook yesterday." He replied, "No problem." I said and then turned around.

Me and my friends walked off towards our first period, "How do you know Noah?" Ava asked me, I shrugged, "He's in the class I switched to, I sit at the same table as him." I answered.
