Anastasia Lynn Turner is seventeen and a senior in high school. She has had her oldest brother die in a car crash, her farther murdered, and her mother died of a rare cancer that was unknown and very little they could do for her.
She has just found out that her best guy friend, James, has been diagnosed with a rare blood disease and is most likely going to die.
Anastasia and James have been best friends since they were two. James knows everything about Anastasia just like Anastasia knows everything about James.
Anastasia prays every night for him to get better and just when things start to look better for James, he gets rushed to the hospital and is stuck there for a while.
Anastasia is left all alone at their high school and has time to think. She figures out that she needs James to stay here and that if she lost him she'd lose everything she has left of herself. She tells herself she'll do anything possible to save him. But.... Will it work?
