Making sure that I had taken everything necessary with me, I tiptoed down the pitch black corridor. I felt my way down the stairs and walked- by memory- to the door. Yes! I internally cheered when my hand made contact with the doorknob and pressed down. Wow, that was too easy-
Damn! I spoke too quickly -.-
It was locked. I mean, of course it would be locked- who would be so stupid not to lock the door. I let out a small groan- I was so stupid. Now I would have to return to the room and just pass through the window because I had no card or hairpin to unlock the door. Sighing in despair I reluctantly turned around to smack into a wall.
"Fuck, now I slam into walls everywhere I go, I'm getting crazier everyday," I facepalmed.
"And where do you think you're going?" The wall spoke.
"Great! Now walls are talkin- wait, what?" I snapped my head up and sprang backwards when I realized that there was a pair of dark blue eyes boring into mine....and it had been about an inch away from me. My back hit the door with a thud and I wheezed, "What the hell!"
He took a step forward which resulted in me pressing my back into the door as far as I could. He was so close that his minty breath was fanning my face.
"Wh- what are you doing?" I succeeded in saying. I mentally hit myself for stuttering.
"I should be the one to ask you that," his low husky voice sent involuntary chills down my spine.
"What I do is none of your business," I placed my hands on his rock hard chest and pushed but he didn't budge- if anything, I swore he was closer now. The fact that he was shirtless did NOT help. Bunch of stupid hormones.
"Oh it is my business. You're living under my roof. My house, my rules," he drawled.
"Firstly, this is your mother's house and secondly, you don't control me- I can go anywhere and when I want," I seethed. My heart raced when I glanced up and caught sight of his pink, bee-stung lips. Seriously, they made Angelina Jolie's smackers look emaciated.
And why the hell am I comparing a man's lips to a woman's?
Because they were that...inviting.
The masculine jut of his square jaw and his slightly crooked nose; broken, no doubt. My gaze travelled back to his eyes that were already trained on me- with a look so intense that my legs nearly gave out.
"That's where you're wrong," he said and shuffled impossibly closer before placing his hands on either side of me- successfully trapping me. "This is my house and definitely not my mother's."
My breath caught and before I knew it, his mouth was pressed against mine. I went numb. My hands fell away from his chest and if he hadn't encircled his arms around me then I would have fallen. His warmth and cologne enveloped me like a blanket and I couldn't help but melt into him.
There were so many emotions making a turmoil in my head that I didn't even realize that my lips were moving in sync with his and that my fingers were tangled in his hair. His hand trailed down my cheeks and set my whole body on fire.
It was when his lips parted from mine that I realized that I had been lacking of oxygen- severely lacking. Our breaths were ragged and harsh but mine was heavier when his mouth trailed down the hollow of my neck to go back up to my lips. His teeth brushed a particular soft spot on my neck and a thousand tiny little pins pricked my neck.
"Blake," I groaned and he tightened his grip on my shoulders.
"Yes, Hayley?" He breathed out. Just hearing him say my name sent shivers up and down my spine and that was what scared me. My eyes snapped open in horror and it hit me like a ton of bricks.
