We made a quick stop outside the ice cream shop, while Eddie and Richie went inside, I stayed out with the two new members and Stanley.
"I need to use the bathroom, I'll be right back." Stanley quickly heads off inside, leaving me alone with the new members.
Great, this won't be awkward at all.
Just me and two kids I don't know a clue aout—except the story my friends told me.I rocked back on the balls of my heels, silently praying that my friends would hurry the hell up. I did not want to make Ile conversations with them. The girl: yes, boy not so much.
"Can I ask you a question?"
I turned around to find a pair of green eyes on me. They were the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen. It had me blushing at the fact that such a beautiful girl was watching me.
Silly bill, always such a fawn for the ladies.
"You said s-something?" I asked, brushing my hair out of my face. Cool down, bill. And try not to stutter too much.
"I said can I ask you a question," She smiles, her green eyes shimmering in the sunlight.
"Uh, yeah. Shoot." I said.
"It's about geo- uhm, your little brother. Please don't take offense or anything!" She quickly adds. "It's a completely harmless question, I swear." She flashes her charming smile and god, I just melt at the sight of it.
How can someone be so, so darn pretty. Her red hair ablaze in the sun, like a hot flaming fire. I wanted to reach out and comb my fingers through it.
"Uhm, bill?" She asks, chuckling lightly.
"Huh?" I raised my brows, confused.
"The question," she said slowly, a small frown on her beautiful face.
The question. Right.
" Right, that, uhm... What was it again? "
She laughed at that. The butterflies instantly erupted in my stomach, and I blushed once again at the effect this girl had on me. Her lovely smile, her charming eyes, flaming—I could literally go on.
"Your brother, remember?"
"Oh. That question. I knew that, " I chuckled sheepishly.
The boy behind her—Ben, I think—looked on with a weird expression. If I had to guess I'd say that he seemed well, jealous.
I didn't see any reason for him to be jealous, really."So?"
"So what?" I blushes. Her eyes on me was making my face redder than a tomato could ever be.
"I wanted to know about his death. The cause of It, i mean. " Her tone was now serious." I heard what they said, how you told everyone that a.. " she took a furtive glanced back before she whispered.
"A monster."
"Ge-georgie isn't d-dear," I said seriously.
"H-he's alive and I kn-know that."Her smile was comforting when she reached for my hand. " I believe you, bill. I've seen him too." Her voice sent goosebumps popping up at every corner of my body.
I frowned."What do you m-mean? "
She's seen the clown? That horrifying monster that lives in the sewers?
No, I needed a clear answer. I needed to know if we were actually on the same page.
She nods. "Yes. He shows up at unusual times, mostly to watch me. It's very scary, I can hardly sleep at night knowing that he's right there. " Her body visibly shuddered.
