The last two classes of the day went agonizingly slow for Henry. Ending the day with economics made Henry's head hurt. He knew that it was an important class to take, but he just had no interest in it whatsoever. Thankfully he had been able to do his homework in class so he wouldn't have to worry about it after school. Henry's grade had been much better this year compared to his younger years. He was pretty sure it was because he had far fewer serious classes. He was finished with math and science, and PE was no longer required for him since he had gotten his credits his freshman and sophomore years. Having less to focus on made it easier for him to get good grades. He couldn't wait to be done with school though. Working with his dad was going to be good. He would finally have a steady source of cash.
The last bell finally released the students and Henry set off in the direction of his apartment complex, only to be joined by Luclan.
"'Sup, dude?" Luclan asked. Henry looked surprised.
"I thought you were hanging out with Victoria?"
"Well I wanted to, but she has church stuff on Wednesdays." Luclan explained.
"Oh, gotcha."
"So, I figured I would hang out with you until your date starts." Luclan replied with a sly smirk. Henry blushed.
"It's not a date!"
"It's kind of a date. I mean you two will be hanging out. Alone. Together." Luclan wagged his eyebrows at Henry suggestively.
"So by that logic, you and I are on a date right now." Henry said with an irritated face.
"Certainly not! I'm your old Mother Dickly! We're bonding, not dating!" Luclan explained. Henry rolled his eyes.
"Well, how do you know that Spencer and I aren't just 'bonding' then?"
"Because, there's a spark between you two, I just know it!"
"How do you figure that? You've never even seen us interacting." Henry pointed out.
"I have a nose for these things, Henry. I bet he's absolutely head over heels thinking about you!"
"I definitely wouldn't go that far."
"Okay, break things down for me. What all have you two been up to?" Luclan asked.
"Well, we went to his house to work on our English papers. Then I stayed over for dinner and his mom drove me home." Henry explained. Luclan nodded.
"Already meeting his mom, eh?"
"Dude, shut up. It's not like that."
"Well, what else, come on! Give me the details!" Luclan exclaimed.
"Well, I had invited him to get high with me while I was over there because he had never gotten high before. So yesterday he came over and we smoked some weed and hung out." Henry knew he was leaving out some important details, but he wasn't sure if he should mention the porn.
"Okay, cozy drug sesh. What did you do while you were high?" Luclan asked.
"We just sat around watching videos and eating snacks and we talked and stuff."
"Okay, okay, not bad so far. Is that when he asked to hang out today?"
"No, that was this morning." Henry corrected.
"Okay, how did he ask you this morning?"
"Well, he and I were talking in class and he ended up getting sick, so I ran after him to the bathroom and held his hair and glasses while he was puking."
