The evening after Fitz meets Sophie. (Alden's pov)
It was too easy.
Someone had sent a human newspaper clipping to him that read: Child Prodigy Chooses City College over Ivy League.
Alden had sent Fitz there, and he had confirmed that the girl, Sophie, was an elf even though she had brown eyes.
Fitz had told him that Sophie's telekinesis was incredibly strong and that her mind was impenetrable to him.
So they found Project Moonlark after twelve years.
But where was Project Gremlin? Quinlin, Alden's old Cognate had told him about it. Project Gremlin was created to defeat the Black Swan's enemies. Sophie could be the greatest Keeper of all times if Alden and Quinlin couldn't read her mind, but her special abilities weren't as dangerous as Project Gremlin's. Alden feared that Project Gremlin was being trained at the very moment, to bring down the Lost Cities.
