A\N: This is my 4th McHart oneshot.

In this one Diane and Kurt are at the cabin after a long and tiring week at work. This one was a pain in my arse to write, so enjoy Angels.

Nighttime has set, she's alone with only a glass of red wine in her hand to keep her company  as she leans against the wooden railing that wraps around the large cabin. It's quiet out here, a complete 180 from the city where, even at night, it's bustling with people and cars. She's glad her husband and dog 'kidnapped' her for a weekend at the cabin.

The cabin, which they purchased a mere 3 months ago and sits on  2 acres of land, is peaceful and quiet, with patchy WiFi and a two hour drive from the city, which makes it perfect for weekend breaks and holidays. Her husband had lured her away from the office during her lunch hour that she was meant to be going over deposition notes by bringing Justice in, barking and wriggling around her office. He had made her take an early weekend with him and drove them, and Justice, to the cabin, conveniently leaving her laptop and notes on her desk, making sure that she didn't do any work this weekend, telling her that she needs a weekend to herself to just relax without thinking about work.

A jacket is wrapped around her shoulders before the arms wrap around her waist, startling her, she leans back against the body attached to the arms and sighs. "You okay? You've been out here a while." Her husband says with concern colouring his voice. She nods, taking another sip of her nearly empty wine glass, the rim has dark red lipstick stain set on it. "You look tired." Kurt comments softly, unwrapping his arms from her waist and putting one around her shoulder instead. "I am tired, but I can't sleep" She admits, over the last three or so weeks, her sleep has declined and her coffee intake has risen each day, more than usual.

"Well maybe, we should get an early night." Kurt suggests. Diane looks at him, a smirk forming on her face. "Oh yeah?" She questions, sipping the last of her wine before her husband plucks it out of her hand and sets it on the railing with a chuckle, ignoring her look of annoyance. "That's not what I meant, I meant going to bed, sleeping." Kurt tells her, Diane sighs again, tiredly, as she kisses her husband on the lips and allows him to lead her inside, her empty wine glass alone on the railing.

Kurt smiles when his wife exits the bathroom in nothing but his shirts and damp hair from her shower. "You do know that I packed pyjamas for you in your bag, right?" He asks, placing his phones face down on his nightstand. His wife crawls onto the bed, laughing tiredly. "But your  shirts are so much more comfier than pjs." She replies as she slides into bed. "I see." He says simply, turning off the lamp on his bedside table, submerging their room into darkness.

His smile grows wider when she rolls into his side,  her head buried into his side, her breathing evening out.

"Goodnight, Diane, I love you." He whispers to his wife, pressing a kiss to the crown of her head and falling asleep beside his slumbering wife.
