Chapter 4: One kiss

Another month passed. The dark prince was just about to fly when someone tapped him on his shoulder. - Heeeeeey there buddyyyyyy~!
It was Ecolo, his strange friend who loved playing pranks and also taunted people for their actions. The wanderer of worlds so to speak. He smiled with glee like he usually did. The dark prince was annoyed that he would most likely be late for his visit with Ex. - What now Ecolo? Can't you see that I have a place to be?
Ecolo just smiled and chuckled. - Ooooo, I can sense some love inside of you! Visiting Arle anytime soon~? Haha.

The dark prince stared at him in confusion. - No, I am visiting Ex. ARE YOU TELLING ME THAT I HAVE A CRUSH ON EX?!
He yelled to show Ecolo that he was wrong, but it kinda gave the opposite effect. Ecolo laughed again. - Ahahahah! You seem quite flustered. No worries, I support you for being in the closet.
The dark prince still upset and blushing stood in disbelief as Ecolo wandered away quickly, probably to avoid getting hit. He then spread his wings and started flying with thoughts flowing through his head. - A crush?! Why would I-?! A crush is someone you care about, someone you want to hug, kiss, love, gift things and maybe even marry one day. A crush is someone you find attractive like their hair, their body, their eyes.

The dark prince kept thinking. - And Ex is just - I want to hug him, I care about him, I give him things, I like his looks, I-
He stopped himself from overthinking as his face turned red again. - Stupid Ecolo bringing strange thoughts in my head.

He arrived. His thoughts slowly left his head as he calmed down a bit. He was excited to meet his friend again. He stood in front of the purple door and knocked softly. The door didn't open though, instead he heard a voice. - Over here!

Satan turned around to see Ex sitting on one of the rocks. - There was an opening here so I had to fix it.
He jumped down. - Why, you look quite nervous, is there something concerning you?
The dark prince didn't expect Ex to see through him. - I met Ecolo before, he was talking about some weird love stuff.
Ex glared couriously. - Oh? What did he mention?
Satan didn't think much of it, but he did see the risk that Ex might speculate over Ecolo's made up statement. - Well, nothing special, probably how I left Arle for no reason.

Ex glared at Satan. - Well, was there really no reason? Perhaps you fell for someone else? I'm just wondering, that's usually the case in those situations.
The dark prince shook his head slowly. - No, or surely not. Is there anyone I could love that closely?
He got quiet. Ex was clearly sensing something, perhaps how he obviously had a thing for Ex. Finding him attractive, wanting to hug him, wanting to kiss him and love him, there was obviously an elephant in the room. And Satan had ignored it, all those months of wanting these things, he ignored it cause he felt like it was bad, he felt like he didn't want to ruin their friendship.

Ex seemed concerned. - Could I be honest about something? Ever since the first month you came and visited me, I felt a connection, something good, I felt less empty. Dark prince you made me feel...Special.

The dark prince didn't say anything, instead, he grabbed Ex's arms slowly pulling him in for a hug. His hug felt good, his body was warm and he was blushing again but he didn't mind. They pulled out from the hug, staring at each other's eyes slowly before comfortably leaning in for a kiss. The kiss wasn't long, only a few seconds, but it still made it worth a while. Pulling away, they both looked at each other again, both of them not knowing what to do now. Ex blushed as he let go fully. - Heh, thank you, that was truly... something new.
Satan let go and turned around. - I must admit, you're not so bad yourself.

(Was it cheesy? Well yeah, was it fun for me to write when I was younger? Yeah, have fun writing these things. It can improve your writing skills and I surely got better at English because of these  texts I wrote. Also, me and my friend laughed so hard reading old fics 🤣 They change so much.
