In the medical room, the air was filled with the haunting sound of wailing. Whispers of concern enveloped the space, blending with the desperate gasps of a woman. She teetered on the edge of her final breath, acutely aware that time was slipping away. Her fervent desire was to hold her child, her little girl, one last time before ascending to the celestial realm.Regrettably, this last wish was denied, for she was but a concubine, her sole purpose to provide the king with an heir. Yet, her contribution was far from ordinary. She had not merely granted the Lunaris Dynasty a child; she had, in fact, brought forth the embodiment of their moon goddess. She had bestowed her blessing upon the Astraea bloodline.
May their goddess forbid the callous disregard exhibited by the servants, who callously ignored the woman's anguished cries and desperate pleas. Despite the overwhelming pain and drowsiness, she fought and thrashed, yearning to catch a glimpse of her beloved baby girl. Her eyes tracked the movements of every hand, holding the child, everyone but her own, the mother, the creator. The bitter taste of defeat was a familiar companion to the woman, resigned to extending her trembling hand outward as she whispered a faint goodbye and offered a heartfelt prayer.
" may the stars and moon be with you my sweet girl .. may you look up at the sky and notice me amongst the stars . I'm so sorry , so sorry you've been brought to this world alone .. may the stars and moon be with you .. goodbye Irene La Astraea . "
With those words hanging in the air, the woman ceased to exist. Her last breath expelled, leaving behind the lingering echo of her child's name in the minds of all the servants. A subtle pang of guilt settled on their shoulders as they carried on, tending to the child's needs. Their purpose now was to present the chosen one, the prophesied heir, to the king. The grandeur and glory that had been foretold surrounded the child's birth, casting a weighty anticipation upon their every step.
This was the beginning of a sad story.
