"hi!" iris smiled when she saw her friend miguel sitting at the bleachers with his friends.

mason,banks,brady,tristan,jacob, and maddy.

"hi, i hope you win today." he wished her good luck.

"i'm really nervous, though my teams good that other team has made it to nationals."

"you'll do great." maddy patted iris's shoulder, "now go stretch!"

iris put her soccer backpack on the bleachers right next to maddy.

"hi!" i smiled and waved to juliana who was way to busy smiling at tristan from afar, and kaylee who blew a kiss at mason.

"you guys are disgusting." i rolled my eyes and hit them both playfully to turn around.

"yeah whatever it's not like you and miguel don't do the same." kaylee scoffed.

"me and miguel lowkey forgot about how we called each other cute and are close friends."

"mason asked me out." kaylee blurted.

"so your dating?" iris said, switching the side she was stretching on.

"yep."

"oh shit!!" juliana smiled at kaylee, she was happy for her and so was iris.

"it's been like a month, yall must believe love at first sight." iris giggled, "but your cute together."

"alright hands in the middle!" coach layla yelled.

i sighed and ran across, this team is really good and i don't know if we can win.

"iris go!" another girl, valentina yelled from across the field, she was rushing me and i was trying my best.

i ran as fast as i could and kicked the ball and made it, "fuck yeah!"

"iris you need to pick up your pace, you seem distracted." coach sighed. "and your the fastest on the team."

i looked down. i hate when coach spoke down on me even if it was just constructive criticism.

"i'm sorry." i spoke.

"no..no don't cry or get upset. i'm just telling you to try better okay? don't start overthinking it, we can't have you shaking in the game."

"i'm fine." i brushed it off and got back into my position with the rest of my team.

eventually, it was tied. i walked up on the bleachers and grabbed my water.

i tried to keep my head down because honestly, i was on the verge of bursting out in tears.

my team is good and we're loosing.

"your doing great iris!" mason patted my back.

my leg was shaking and i looked up for a second.

"iris, why are you crying?" he asks, "are you okay? your legs shaking."

"i'm fine, i'm not crying. i don't know why my legs shaking." i tried to get my words out without crying.

"iris.. talk to me."

"mikey, my team is good and we're loosing. i'm captain! this is all my fault! i'm not doing my best!"

"don't put all the blame on yourself. your a good player, iris."

my team lost , this is our first loss.

"it's alright champs, we'll win next time okay? we got this!" coach layla tried to cheer us up.

"are you okay iris? you look tired." juliana asked.

"i just wanna go home." i replied.
