Chapter 18

Thursday

Seungmin woke up again to an empty bed.

"Another day..." Seungmin sighed.

Seungmin got up and checked on little puppy. She was somehow sleeping peacefully and Kkami was following him.

"Kkami! Hi!" Seungmin reached over to pet him.

"Let's go have some breakfast yeah?" 

Kkami barked excitedly.

The went downstairs to the kitchen and feed Kkami his wet dog food and some fruits.

Kkami gobbled it up and Seungmin made himself a tea and made instant oatmeal.

As Seungmin was about to sit down, Iseul started crying.

"Oh great!" Seungmin got up and went to her room. He picked her up and cradled her. 

The doorbell rang.

"Great who could it be?" Seungmin said.

Seungmin opened the door Mr and Mrs. Hwang stood there, nervous.

"Oh hello, Mr. and Mrs. Hwang."

"Is Hyunjin here?" Mr. Hwang said.

"No but come in." Seungmin said.

"What are you exactly here for, Mr. and Mrs. Hwang?" Seungmin asked.

"Oh well we wanted to show a document signed about disowning him and that he will be no longer heir to our company. We were going to tell him gently, and wish him well." Mr and Mrs. Hwang held each others hand.

"It's just that..." Mrs. Hwang started tearing up

"We never thought our son would treat others that way. He doesn't deserve you dear." Mrs. Hwang offered her hand to hold.

"Oh well, we moved past that and we are going to get married soon." Seungmin said.

"Oh no dear! No no no! We are looking out for you and believe that he doesn't deserve you dear! Find someone else." Mrs. Hwang he,d Seungmin's hand.

"But I love him Mrs. Hwang. and he loves me." Seungmin said with sparkles in his eyes.

"No, break up it's him dear, it's better to think about the baby for now." Mrs. Hwang said.

"I agree, please Seungmin, consider your choices. Think about how it will affect you. He will definitely cheat on you with a woman. I believe he is toxic and that's why we are disowning him." Mr. Hwang said.

"No, I believe he changed, I know he did, so don't try to break us up becaus I love him and he loves me. And we are going to get married.": Seungmin said firmly.

Iseul was sleeping peacefully in his arms as he stood and took a stand.

"You should listen to us, but if you think that best then fine. Give Hyunjin these documents." Mr. Hwang handed him a folder with the documents to disown him. Make him sign it. And we don't want to see him again. Have a good day Seungmin." Mr. Hwang stood up and so did Mrs. Hwang. They both left.

Seungmin was a little shook because he couldn't believe his parents would actually do that.

Seungmin put Iseul in her cradle and got to work. Kkami was napping in his bed and missed the whole thing.

Seungmin went downstairs and petted Kkami then he sat on the island table and opened his laptop to do his assignments.
