chapter two: ok that was rude

   Mirai woke up with a yawn,she looks at the curtains as sun rays shine throw them. Mirai stood up,the cold wood sending a chill up her spine.she walked to the bathroom, looking at her face in the mirror,a groggy look on her face as she looks at the other girls in the bathroom. She sighed and took a towel from the rack and some clothes from her bag and walked to the showers.

  When she finished she walked to the hill with the lemon tree, waiting on Anna. she made sure the spot where she planted it was healthy, excited to see her new friend she looks at the dirt with a giddy expression on her face. It was a crisp Arkansas morning,Mirai was dressed for the later heat,a camp selene shirt,that was a dark blue with white moon on it and in bold said 'camp selene', along with black converse and her jean shorts.

Mirai was a clingy person, so when she heard footsteps heading up the hill her face brightens running to Anna and hugging the golden hair girl.

"Anna! You came back I knew you wanted to be my friend" she was overjoyed that her affection was not overwhelming to her new friend. Mirai hugged the girl close, Anna a bit taller than the girl,but Mirai can still smell the cheap perfume that can be bought at the camp gift shop.

   "N-no I just was coming to read my book, and you just so happened to be here" Anna spoke,her cheeks slightly flushed,her blonde hair put into a bun and her bead necklace lose around her neck. The blue eyed girl gently pushed Mirai off her.

  Mirai landed on her bottom,a bit shook up she blinked twice before giggleing and following Anna up the hill, planing herself next to the girl. Mirai never hand Alot of friends so she was happy to have someone, even if they acted like they didn't want her there.

    "So Anna,what do you want to do today? We can go swimming or we can climb trees. Oh! I want to learn how to braid hair!" Mirai rambled to the girl sitting next to her. Anna was trying to act uninterested,but was listening to what the green eyed girl was saying. As much as Anna wants to ignore the feeling,she enjoys the energetic girls company.

   Mirai looks at her knees, taking in the atmosphere, before looking to the other campers down the hill walking to the mess hall. Her stomach growls at the smell of breakfast,she ponders on walking downhill on her own or staying with Anna.

  Anna however heard the girls stomach,and stood up with a small sigh. She grabbed the girls hand, pulling her up. Mirai let out a small yelp of surprise as she was dragged down the hill by her new friend.

"But anna what about your morning reading-" Mirai spoke,still a bit shaken before gaining her footing. Anna ignores the girl as she held her hand with a strong grip leading her to the mess hall and at an empty table,she let Mirai sit down before walking to the breakfast line.

  Mirai was a bit stunned to say the least,but didn't say anything. She leaned her head on her hands,a small sigh of hunger leaving her. Mirai looks up when someone sat across from her,it was a girl with pale skin, achne littered all over her face,and bright red glasses that where basically an eye sore. The girls hair was to her back and it was a frizzy mess, tangles vissable in her hair,but she did have pretty hazel eyes. The girl also wore a dark green sweater that looks kinda itchy,a camp selene shirt peeking from the hem of her sweater,the girl also had dark blue braces.

  "Can I sit here?" The nerdy looking girl asked. Mirai looks at the girl before smileing with another giddy expression on her face.

"Of course you can! I'm Mirai valentine,it's nice to meet you I can tell we will be good friends" Mirai spoke with a smile, standing up and leaving over the table to shake the girls hand.

"I'm Marcy it's nice to meet you to" Marcy spoke looking at the energetic girl,a bit overwhelmed from the sudden outburst from the girl. Mirai just sat back down kicking her legs slightly. She had that same giddy smile on her face. Anna Walked back with two trays,with bacon and eggs with toast and grits. Anna notice Marcy and gave a small glare at the patchy skinned female.

"Mirai...who is this." Anna spoke,her icey blue eyes piercing Marcy. If looks could kill,Marcy would have been Dead 20 seconds ago.

"This is Marcy,she wanted to sit with us. Isn't that fun?" Mirai asked slightly clapping her hands, looking to her blonde friend. Anna rolled her eyes and sat down and began to eat. Marcy's stomach growls a bit,Mirai noticed and offered to share her food with Marcy, Wich the girl took up,as Anna scoffed. Anna didn't even finish her food before standing up gritting her teeth, walking out holding her book.

  Mirai was confused but continued to eat with Marcy,not wanting to upset Anna further.

Hours later Mirai sat on her bunk by herself, drawing on her knees, humming a tune. She missed her mom and dad a bit,along with her brothers and sisters . Mirai bit her lip, tears threatening to spill as she thought about what she did at breakfast today,she was only trying to be nice. Mirai just put on her pajamas and laid in her bed,all the other girls in her cabin either asleep or getting ready for bed.
