CHAPTER 4

The deafening silence surround Abigail as she lay down waiting for the right time. Footsteps starts to approach her door as she take a deep breath, taking the movement outside as a que that their time finally arrived.

Silence fell and Abigail immediately make her move, crawling through the vent and give Jhanella a sign—throwing a pair of clothes for her to change into. "Let's get moving" Jhanella said as they separate their path.

Joanna stands up the moment the footsteps fade. She took the key under her pillow and unlock the steel bar that separates her and Venice. They didn't utter a single word yet understand what each other's stare means.

Wearing the clothes Abigail gave them, they crawl towards a certain room, where they know the others will be—the security room. They weren't wrong because as soon as they arrive, they saw them ransack the whole room.

"I thought you'll never arrive. Gather things we can use." Jhanella told her and hand her a gun. "What is this place?" Joanna ask when she opened a locker filled with guns and other weapons. "This is not a mental institution." Abigail utter as she show them a pocket of what they suspect, illegal drugs.

"These aren't just drugs. This will surely turn you insane." Joanna spoke as she examine the pill. "Ahm, hello geniuses? We have to burn this place down?" Cassandra said with a annoyed look on her face. She saw Abigail rolled her eyes and started shooting the monitors behind Cassandra, making her stone on her place.

"Ayan, ayos na?" Abigail ask sarcastically, "enough with the bitch fights, we need to leave." Jhanella said and starts to lead the way. "How come there's no alarm?" Venice ask, "clearly because that room is sound proof, the thick walls will not let out any sound. This is no ordinary mental hospital." Joanna replied as they continue to run.

"There's not a single security. This is bullshit." Cassandra commented as they continue to run until Jhanella stopped and looked at the woman—the nurse they made a deal with. "She better not mess up." Cassandra once again commented. Abigail gave the nurse a nod before the nurse walk towards the exit.

"Nurse Krizelle, tapos na po shift niyo?" they heard the security ask her, "ah oo, ngayon lang kita nakita, are you new here?" Krizelle ask with a flirty smile on her face. "Hindi po, mag-iisang buwan na rin." Sagot ng security at isang mahinang tawa ang pinakawalan ni Krizelle.

"She's going to mess this up." Abigail whispered and walk toward them, tucking the gun on her pants. "Ate aalis na tayo?" Joanna almost laugh on her place when Abigail started acting cute, "Hi, I'm Precious Abigail Harris." they heard her introduce herself but instead of extending her hand, she pulled the gun and mercilessly shoot the man on its head.

ABIGAIL LET OUT a loud sigh, "You're insane!" Krizelle commented still in shock by her sudden act. "Thank you, now let's get moving." Jhanella furiously grab her on the shoulder, "What do you think you just did?" It ask, "I just killed someone, you saw it" she response coldly. "Your desire to kill is getting out of hand, that man might be innocent." Jhanella shouted, "trust me, he's not." She said and pointed at the man's hand, seeing a paraphernalia. "No one is innocent."

They walk steadily towards the gate until they heard a gunshot. "Who did that?" Abigail furrowed her eyebrows as she look around, suspecting that one of them. But then it was followed by another shot almost hitting her leg. "You're smart, just like your father." A baritone voice speaks. "Show yourself." She ordered and a rustle from the tree creates a noise before a man jumped out from it.

A man wearing a gold mask faced her. "Coward, why are you wearing a mask?" she said and start laughing, "You wouldn't want to know who I am." the man replied, "You're pissing me off." Abigail said and pointed the gun at the man's forehead. "Abigail, don't act recklessly." Jhanella said and walk behind her.

"If it isn't Jhanella, your father must be proud of you." The man said making Jhanella freeze. "They're surrounding you, Harris. Shoot me, but you won't be able to get out here alive." He said and then a gunshot followed, "I can see them, Abigail." Jhanella said and started shooting with the others. "Shoot me." The man said and Abigail took a step back before shooting him on his leg.

Instead out hearing a shout, the man laughs maniacally at her. "You can't do it, do you 'penny?'" He said and Abigail started attacking him physically, kicking him in different places until he fell down, but Abigail can still feel the rage inside her, grabbing the man on its collar and using the gun on her hand, she mercilessly use it to hit his head. Leaving him unconscious.

CASSANDRA KICK THE man on the face before stabbing it on the neck using the knife she saw earlier. "One down, more to go." She said and walk toward the man and twisted its arm to let drop the gun and stab him on the chest. "Don't make this easy for me." She said and use her clothes to wipe the blood that covered the knife on her hand.

JOANNA AND VENICE stand behind each other as they fight, "Stand behind me" Joanna said and pull Venice to stand behind her. Venice punch the man before kicking him on its stomach. The man fought back grabbing her leg making her fall on the ground. The man started choking her with both of its hand, but Joanna saw the situation and kneed the man on its face and started choking him using her thighs. "Shoot him!" Joanna shouted and Venice immediately acts, hitting the man critically on its neck.

Jhanella guarded Krizelle behind her while she fight physically and using the gun on her hand. "Fuck this, when will it end?" she ask and irritability shoot the man approaching her, but the man did not mind the pain on its leg, instead he use his gun to shoot Jhanella but Krizelle was the one who got shot. Her shout makes Jhanella alarmed, approaching the man and kicked him on its stomach before shooting him on his back numerous times.

Jhanella looked at Krizelle's bloodstained uniform before ripping it, "fuck this" Jhanella cursed under her breath and started rummaging on Krizelle's bag finding a handkerchief. She wrap it around her arm to put pressure on it. "Let's move" Abigail said and lead the way towards a random van, which she suspects owned by one of the men they fought.

"Is anyone hurt?" Abigail ask while driving, "Krizelle got a shot" She said followed by the others complain, some got clear bruises and wound on their skin and face. "I need cash" Abigail said and casually grab Krizelle's bag, getting her wallet and getting inside the pharmacy.

ABIGAIL WALK CASUALLY AND ASK the pharmacist for the things she need. The pharmacist notice the blood on her clothes but she didn't utter a word, instead she grab the plastic and gave her the money before grabbing few more things by herself.

"Do not say a word to anyone." She threatened the pharmacist peeking her head at the door. She went back to the van and started driving. "Jhanella, can you treat her wound?" she ask and hand her the large plastic containing things she need to  treat the gunshot.
