Hey there, True Believers! Watch as once again frightening forces are at work in our world, ready to wreak havoc with our very existence. But for our friends The Loud family, it's just supposed to be a normal night at the theater. Well as normal as it can be for supporting cast members.
April 1st, 2024, Royal Woods Theater
Lincoln Loud was wondering how he ended up in this situation. And yet, here he was, being dragged along to be a part of something he never asked to take part of. He and his sisters were heading to Royal Woods Theater to extras in a show. His sisters were all dressed in their colour-coordinated tutus. Lincoln on the other hand was wearing his navy blue trench coat over a white button-up shirt, with a grey knitted tie, a brown and turquoise checkered-tartan waistcoat with lapels along with a pair of matching trousers and his usual sneakers. It had been 5 weeks since his friend and comrade, Marshall Jason Onodera gave his life to seal the maniacial demon Z-arc. Ever since then, Lincoln hadn't really been himself. Royal Woods City was rebuilding after the final battle between The Avengers and the Supreme King Dragon. The final words of their leader were still echoing in his head. "I'm sure we will meet again. In the life beyond." The man with the plan (patent pending) was still confused by this. What did he mean by that?
Lincoln just sighed and looked at Morgana. The feline persona user was in Lana's arms, taking a nap as usual. While Morgana was a veteran of the Phantom Thieves of Hearts, Lincoln had learned that the only thing he could rely on with Morgana was that he was always sleeping when the only boy of the Loud family could find him. But this time Lana was cooing as she stroked the feline's fur. "Hey Linc, I'm thinking this show will be great." Lana said as she kept stroking Morgana.
Lincoln just nodded. This show was bugging Lincoln. Yuya Sakaki, the supposed star of the show was supposed to be no longer alive. But yet Luan received an invite from him asking the Loud siblings to join his latest show. Then it occurred to him that someone was missing. "Hey, where's Linka?" He asked. The Illiaster clone of Lincoln was nowhere to be seen. But it was understandable, since Linka wasn't a official member of the Avengers. She was always off doing her own thing. But even though she was artificially made by Illiaster, she was still a member of the family."She told me she'll be along later." Lori answered. "She's still worried that people will see her as a monster." Lincoln sighed. He saw Linka as a twin sister but he knew that she was worried that other people wouldn't treat her like a normal person. "Don't worry Linc. She'll be fine." Lola said, putting a hand on her brother's shoulder. "It's not that. I just miss Marshall. Everywhere I go, I see his face. I miss him very much." Lincoln said, looking down in sadness. " I understand perfectly well." Lisa replied coming over to her brother. "The loss of Marshall has affected us all. I haven't even heard word from JARVIS since his memorial. It's heartbreaking." Lori sighed in disbelief. " If we dwell too long on what's missing, we fail to see what can be gained. The absence of Marshall will either tear us apart or bring us closer together. The choice is yours little brother." She said looking at Lincoln. "I know! But we're missing our usual persona user. Sure, Lily and Linka have got the powers but they're not as strong as Marshall's powers were. He could wield multiple personas!" He sighed. "Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We only have today. Or else this offer expires!" Lucy said with one of her usual jumpscares.
"Lucy's right guys. We better move it. I don't want to keep Yuya waiting." Luan said. Lincoln looked at the posters of the shows that were playing at Royal Woods Theater. But when he looked at one poster, he stopped to look at it closer. The poster had a picture of a monstrous being with a very tall top hat, a long-horned mask for its face, a cropped red eighteenth-century-esque suit worn open with the collar popped, stitched heart designs on the shoulders, a white ruffle tie, a black, tailed corset running down its torso; large, black, feathery wings starting at around the small of its back; claws, red coverings on its legs resembling pants and boots with blade-like heels.
"Wait! Is that... Arséne?!" Lincoln asked in confusion. He looked at the poster closer. As much as he wanted to deny it, There was no doubt that Arséne Lupin, Marshall's go-to persona, the greatest phantom thief in the world was on the poster! Lincoln pinched himself to make sure he wasn't dreaming. "Ow!" He exclaimed. Ok, so he wasn't dreaming. But what was Arséne doing on the poster? "Do you have to yell so loud?" Morgana mumbled in his sleep. "Well, look who woke up." Lynn scoffed while looking at the feline persona user. "You know you could shake a leg too Mona. At least we're contributing around here. All you do is sleep all day." "Well he's a cat. It's the natural thing to do." Lily said stroking Morgana behind the ears. Lincoln smiled at this. Even though his baby sister was stuck in the body of a 11-year-old girl, she still was the sweet caring little sister the Louds knew and loved. "Quit poking me! And I'm NOT a cat!" Morgana snapped. "Lighten up Mona! You're gonna be a star soon." Luan said, stroking Morgana on the back. He liked that. "Well I better not be in any animal acts." the feline persona user said.
"So what's going on?" Lincoln pointed to the poster with Arséne on it. Morgana jumped out of Lana's arms and looked at the poster. "Wait, wha-?! How's he on a poster here?" Morgana asked in shock. "That's what I want to know." Lincoln said. The other Louds looked at the poster. "Hey, that guy looks familiar." Leni said. Poor Leni. She wasn't the sharpest crayon in the box but they had gotten used to her ditziness. "Uh luv, that's Arséne? Marshall's ace in the hole?" Luna said, trying to remind her older sister of their leader's main persona. "Arséne? Don't you mean Satanael?" Leni asked. Lincoln realised that Leni was right. Satanael was Marshall's ultimate persona. Marshall had used that persona to seal Z-arc. "Leni! We're not talking about Satanael. We're talking about Arséne." Lori clarified. "But what does this mean?" Lisa asked. "I just hope we're not getting into any more trouble." Lynn said, looking around.
"For once, I agree with you." Lincoln said, shaking his head. "This show should be a good way to blow off steam." "That's the spirit!" Luan grinned as she opened the door. "C'mon! Entrance stage left." "You seem excited dudette." Luna said. "We're extras in a show. Of course she's excited." Lori replied. "Well as Marshall would say "Allons-y!"" Lincoln said. The other Louds nodded in agreement. They weren't here to be stuck in the past. They were here to be part of a show. While his sisters were fixing up their tutus, Lincoln reached into the pocket of his navy blue trench coat and pulled out Marshall's Walkman. It was one of the things Lincoln had received from Marshall before he gave his life to stop Z-arc. He pressed the play button and was soon listening to one of Marshall's favourite songs.
As he listened to the song, Lincoln thought about Marshall and his love of music. Soon they were ready to go. Luan held open the door as the Loud siblings went into the theater. But as Lincoln entered the theater, he immediately regretted it. There was no one else in the theater apart from him and his sisters and the atmosphere was almost suffocating. But what was even weirder was that Morgana was nowhere to be seen! Which was weird since he came through the door with them! "What's going on? Hey Lily-"Lincoln started to say but noticed that Lily was back as an infant. "What The!? What happened to you?" "I Dunno. I'm a little scared though." Lily answered, her voice trembling. The Loud Siblings huddled close to each other in fear. "What's going on here?" Lola quivered in fright. "I dunno." Lincoln gulped in fear as a realisation came to his mind. "But if I had to guess, I'd say we somehow ended up back in the Metaverse!"
