"Sorry, I really can't accept your business card..."

It was for the nth time of the day that Raphael caught the attention of a person to scout him to their company. It was only thanks to the HNH Group's policies that protected him from others.

Honestly, in the first place, Raphael was only treated like a special bodyguard who was professionally trained in many aspects. However, being a rich boy with family issues and traumatic experiences kind of made people sympathise for him. Despite being forced by the contract to work, Raphael held on to his normal personality and did not blame his family.

Obviously,  money is what makes family a whole.

*Flashback*

"Why did you even want me for the contract?"

"You are a valuable asset to my company, and I believe the Castellan family and the Choi family should cooperate as one."

"Using marriage is an old-fashioned way to represent collaboration."

"Since when did I mention engagement between the both of you?"

Raphael grit his teeth.

"I know very well that you want to bind me down with our families, but I will never ever date Crystal. I don't believe she should be treated as an object of marriage and I know very well that you love her too much to let her get married off."

Charles grinned as he leaned forward on the sofa, eyes staring at Raphael's unblinking eyes.

"You're intriguing."

"...What about Crystal's opinion?"

He smiled, just as his daughter barged into the room.

"I'm sure she likes you too."

*End of flashback*

Raphael exhaled with relief and stretched his arms and legs to release the tension that had built up in his body over the week. Finally, the day was over and he could take a break from the chaos and pressure that came with his demanding job at the office. As he took a seat on the park's bench, he pulled out his bento box, which was filled with fresh and delicious vegetables, rice and eggs. He couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction and peace as he took the first bite and felt the stress of the day fade away.

Later that night...

"You're one minute late."

The sound of Raphael's heels exposed his arrival as he stepped on the slippery floor of the abandoned rooftop. The night sky was like a ravenous shadow cast from a certain figure that sat, back facing at him, on the railings.

"Where's Gun?"

The blonde male laughed at his clueless voice.

"He's busy tonight on a date. I'm here to replace him."

"...understood."

"eh? Since when were you polite? Did you undergo some sort of personality change?"

Before Raphael could reply, Goo placed his designer's trench coat down on a bench and attacked. The student reacted and charged with a full blow at his soon-to-be teacher's ribs, whilst attempting to tackle him. Of course, Goo misdirected the punch and instead did a roundhouse flip. (A/n: I have no knowledge on fighting so please correct me if I wrote something wrong here)

Raphael's POV

A stream of warm, dark red spilled across my face as I stumbled backward and desperately swiped at my split lip. It tasted metallic and was horrible, like the smell of old rain. Goo's next move was to throw a punch at my face, but I was able to whip my head to the side just in time to avoid the blow.

I totally forgot about all the skills I learned when I caught Goo's leg with my iron grip before it could reach my crotch and stomped on his stomach. I stumbled when he abruptly punctured my leg with a pin. He was able to stand as a result, almost lifting me off the ground. I jumped backward to give myself some space, then punched at the same wound that I had earlier stomped on and smacked the pin out of his hands.

That was a grave mistake.

"You need to work more on strategic thinking."

"Yes, sir."

"Would you like to be my secret friend?"

"No, sir."

"Aww, why not?"

"...sir."

I had no sense of time as I panted heavily, standing in the opposite direction of Goo. He too, smelt fishy and panted heavily. Both our clothes were drenched in sweat.

"Alright, the evaluation ends here," Goo said with a slight hint of regret. I couldn't stare back up as I collapsed on the cold ground. The darkness engulfed my body as I fell unconscious, tired, and unguarded.

Goo effortlessly carried me towards his expensive car and drove me to his apartment.

I woke up, eyes groggy and googly, wincing from the sharp pain on my cheek and leg. The bedroom was stylish and smelt expensive. It's good to know that my new mentor wasn't a mean and uncaring person.

I looked out the window to see dozens of buildings standing in neat columns as though welcoming this apartment. Perhaps if I had continued living in the Castellan estate, such a beautiful view wouldn't have been a surprise.

It seems Goo is a nicer person compared to Gun...

I smiled.

Just by looking at the way he fights, Goo shows a strong aura when using weapons...he may seem like a crazy psychopath, but he has a good side...I looked down at my body dressed in neat, fresh clothes that were definitely not mine.

He's nice.

Just then, the door swung open, revealing a familiar blonde male in his expensive pyjamas.

"Wakey wakey Brownie Boy!"

I rubbed my eyes as I slowly got used to the light.

"What time is it?"

"It's 10 a.m."

I suddenly stood up, dashing towards the door only to have my collar grabbed by the blonde.

"woah, woah there. If you're thinking of going to school, I already contacted your girlfriend about your condition and also called the school for a sick leave."

I instantly relaxed my shoulders as I slowly slid down from his hands.

wait...

"Girlfriend?! Since when? Who are you talking about-"

Just then, I heard a yell from across the corridor.

"it seems poop-hair is a little bit grumpy today."

I nodded in agreement, still slightly taken aback by Gun's loud, booming voice.

"You both live together?"
