Chapter 7: The Camera

I wipe my feet on the doormat outside the bathroom as I step out of my shower, walking to my bed my body suddenly feels his touch, like it's remembering everything he did to it just a few hours back, I have to close my eyes and take a breath as I resist the urge to recreate the feeling he gave me today. I don't know how it happens but randomly my body will remind me of the things Alex did to me and how good it felt. Speaking of Alex I look at my phone and open our texts still giggling at our stupid selves, after we had our little spicy moment I had to leave his house to help my aunt with unpacking, but we never stopped texting. We couldn't with all our bubbling excitement of finally making it official, holy shit... feels surreal just to say that.
"Any time Rose" I'm still smiling at my phone looking at his cheesy yet somehow so smooth texts, I reluctantly put the phone down and head to my closet to take my skincare products out, but right as I walk past my bed I notice a blinking red light out of the corner of my eye. I look towards its direction but I don't see anything so I slowly walk a few steps back till that light is in my eye again, I walk towards it and see a really small red light coming from the table mirror on my desk , I lift it up only to see some object stuck between the mirror and the frame of it, I pull it out then drop it in shock while gasping my lungs out

 Is that a fucking camera?!

When I got her text this morning my heart couldn't stop racing, it was all so perfect up until last night, I mean we made it official then wouldn't stop texting. At least I wouldn't stop texting, after some time she sorta ghosted me and I was genuinely worried and hurt because even if I didn't know what happened, I'd still like a small explanation. Then today morning, when my phone finally buzzed with her text notification, my heart dropped to my fucking throat.
"We need to talk" Fuck. No way that's something good, I mean shit.....We just got together though?! How can something go wrong withing the span of 24 hours? Less than 24 hours!
I pace my breathing and just try to focus on the drive to her house, I racked my brain for things she could want to talk about and the only thing I can think of is Mindy, but if she wanted to know something she could just ask? In fact I was planning to tell her everything about us just this week after we had our little lovey-dovey moments.....Now I'm wondering if we'll have them at all.

 When I arrive at her house and let her know I'm here, I see her come out of her front door and behind her is a woman with short jet black hair with blue highlights, and she looks like the badass, dark side version of Celestine, and considering I've never seen her before, I presume that's her Aunt Mira.
"Hey Alex this is my aunt, Auntie Mira, this is Alex, my boyfriend." Her tone did go a bit low when she used the word boyfriend but it sounded more out of shyness than hesitation which gave me a split second of relief.
"Oh yeah I know about you, fake turned to real boyfriend right?" Well that's definitely not a good first impression-
"Uh, um right....Real right now though, staying that way. Hi, nice to meet you." Rose gives her aunt a look before rolling her eyes and her aunt bursts out laughing.
"Oh lighten up school boy, I'm only pulling your leg. I knew you liked her way back, I'm the one who helped her realise it so really, I'm the reason you guys are dating." The sigh of relief I release at that sentence is comical, she seems light, don't get me wrong she also seems like the kind of person who'd kill anyone to wrong Rose, but she also seems like she doesn't really let anything bother her and knows when to take things lightly.
"Good to know, I'm forever grateful." Her smile at my sentence tells me she appreciates the genuineness in my tone.
"Okay I'd hate to break this meet-cute up, but I need to talk to you. Both of you." At that sentence both mine and her aunt's face goes dead serious because Rose honestly looks worried. "Let's get in the car, Alex is it okay if you drop her to the caffe first?"
"Course, please get in."
