Sidharth, the eldest Malhotra son, addressed the crowd with a charming smile that was rare for him.
"Thank you everyone for joining us today. We are pleased to welcome you all. Hamari Rajkumari, my sister, will be arriving soon. There was a slight delay with her flight, but she'll be here shortly." (Our Princess,)
He paused, watching the eager faces before him. "So my dear ladies and gentlemen, let's wait a few more hours and let the party begin!"
A chorus of "awws" rose from the crowd, touched by Sidharth's genuine affection for his sister. Furthermore, he never smiled until it was necessary. Which shows how dear his sister is to him.
As Sidharth AKA Sid approached his family, who were deep in conversation with the Raghuvanshis. A family he generally disliked, though today he was willing to tolerate them, only for her.
Virindhra, the Raghuvanshi patriarch, greeted Sidharth with a saccharine smile."Kaise ho, Sid beta?" (How are you, Sid son?)
Sidharth, maintaining a neutral expression, replied with a curt, "Bilkul perfect" (Absolutely perfect)
Virindhra continued, his eyes gleaming with avarice, "I can't wait to be your in-laws. After all, the Malhotras meri beti ko apne bahu ke roop mein chuna hai. We're grateful for you all." (Malhotras have chosen my daughter as their daughter-in-law.)
He glanced proudly at his daughter, Kritika, who stood beside him, radiating a mixture of pride and anxiety.
"Kritik-" he was interrupted by a frantic staff member, his face flushed and his breathing ragged.
