Chapter 3| Charles Xavier & Batsy

-Third person's point of view- 

Y/n leaned closer to her chat interface, her curiosity piqued by the presence of Charles Xavier.

[Charles Xavier ponders what type of machinery this is, or perhaps it was a mutant's abilities?]

[Batman notes he can see this 'Charles Xaviers' chat box,]

"Hello, Mr Xavier." she greeted softly, offering a gentle smile. With a deep breath, she addressed him, assuming Charles could also see her, since Batman was able to, despite the invasion of privacy per se, she really couldn't do much about it.

Y/n had then explained to Charles, that he shouldn't bother talking to her, because her system isn't really advanced enough to let her hear it, but that she could read his emotions, actions and thoughts.

[Charles Xavier squints his eyes, admiring your face on the systems chatting feature. He isn't opposed to you reading his thoughts, as he is a telepath himself.]

"That's good. I was wondering if you two, could read my thoughts as well. I assume you don't read my actions because well, you can see me." Deep down, she hoped fervently that they couldn't delve into her thoughts, recognizing the overwhelming invasion of privacy, because honestly it was to much for her to handle already.

[Batman shakes his head, Bitter about not being able to.]

[Charles Xavier lets out a low hum from his throat, before providing a shake of his head]

[Charles Xavier suddenly greets Batman.]

[Batman is stoic.]

Y/n lets out a small laugh from their interactions letting the laugh bubble fourth from her throat, "Well, Batman," she began, addressing him by his hero name. "I wanted to say I reached level 2!" Her announcement carried a note of pride, not using Batman's real name, as she didn't want to be disrespectful just in case he didn't want Charles to know.

[Batman's eyes lighten up a bit, amused by your happiness, despite him already being level 14.]

Y/n's eyebrows raised in surprise, "Eh? How do you level up that fast?" Y/n took a pause, momentarily taken aback before realization dawned upon her. "Oh, wait," she chuckled."You're Batman..." Her tone carried a playful tease,

[Charles Xavier Feels a bit left out. He concludes he should explore more of the system.]

"Well, on that note," she declared, her voice filled with resolve, "I really want to level up some more." Y/n stretched her limbs a bit, "I'll leave you both to do whatever you two do..." Her words trailed off as she prepared to close out of the chat,  letting them respond to her before she did so.

[Batman, firmly nods his head, his heart panging at wanting to chat with you just a little longer, but understands nonetheless.]

[Charles Xavier nods, hoping to chat with you again, once he figures out the basics of the system.]

Closing out of the chat, Y/n quickly pressed on her missions

Y/n's eyes roamed across the mission,  a faint blush on her cheeks at the thought of 'Midnight' chats with Batman or Charles Xavier, she gave a small smile.  However, her attention was soon drawn to the rewards section, her curiosity piqued by the intriguing prospect of a 'Voice message from Batman.' Unable to suppress her interest,she wondered what he sounded like, what he would say to her...

Akin to a wide-eyed child at a toy shop, Y/n's finger hovered over the "Shop" button before finally tapping it. Y/n admired everything, the storefront unfolded before her, she couldn't help but marvel at the array of offerings laid out before her—potions for healing, stylish outfits, formidable weapons, and more. The possibilities seemed endless, but what to buy? She looked up in the right to see how many coins she had, Y/n found that she had a modest sum of 50 coins at her disposal

Tapping around Y/n tapped the filter option, and she put 25 minimum in the filter because she didn't want to spend all her 50 coins in one setting. "Huh, a Batarang." She stated out loud, clicking on the option, her moment of contemplation was abruptly interrupted when another screen suddenly popped up beside her—a chatting tab.

[Batman confusingly heard your voice.]

[Batman, wondered why you said 'Batarang']

[Batman wants you to respond.]

[Charles Xavier is startled at Batman spamming the chat...how does he even do that?]

"Ehm...sorry...sorry," Y/n muttered, her voice tinged with embarrassment. " I didn't know you guys could...still hear me--even when I close out of chat?" Her eyes flitted nervously to the chat window, feeling a bit flustered by the unexpected turn of events.

"I'm just exploring the store's shop, I can get a Batarang for 15 shop coins." Y/n spoke as she mentioned the item she had been considering purchasing, still a bit startled by the spamming and sudden appearance of the systems chat, she didn't even know she could have more than one screen!

[Batman stays eerily silent]

Y/n slowly turned back to the screen where the shop was open, she purchased the Batarang. The Batarang materialized in her hands, its sleek design catching the light as she admired it with care. She turned it over, examining every curve and edge/

[Batman looks at you closely, noting you have one of his Batarangs, his lips are pursed slightly.]

[Charles Xavier wonders if this 'Batman' fellow is always this broody.]

[Batman glares at Charles Xavier's chatbox]

While those two were busy chatting with each other, Y/n's gaze turned back to her main screen, where she closed out of the chat, and tapped missions.

Y/n nodded her head happily, she only had one more quest to do! closing out of the shop, As she glanced at the chatting screen, a curious thought crossed her mind—could she have two chat windows open simultaneously? With a brief moment of contemplation, she tentatively clicked on the chatting screen with her main interface. To her surprise, the additional screen vanished, leaving only one screen in front of her.

"So....one of my missions...want me to stay up at midnight chatting with one of you..." Y/n didn't know why she got so flustered saying this, as she gulped down on her saliva.

[Batman stays silent, he thinks it would be nice, however he has his nightly gotham routines.]

[Chalres Xavier, nods his head he has no problem doing so.]

Y/n smiled contently. "Thank you."
