~love is not always butterflies and berries sometimes they have storms too~
Wedding preparations has been going well all day as everyone is happy for the knot tie between Husna and Aryan.
My life has been hectic moving from my house to uncle's house everyday. Today I decided to fully move to Uncle's House because is not Ahlam that will be driving everyday like that.I wore a York yellow long strapped dress because the heat is just too much in Maid but guess what it's always hot in Maidugri. It is a Zara dress I got when I was moving back to Nigeria a year ago. If someone were to tell me that Baba is going to retire and move us all back to Nigeria some years back I will probably say their lying. My Baba is a very patriotic citizen even when his business started growing across the globe he didn't want it but Yaya Ahmad persuaded him. All my life was in the UK I did my middle school, high school and university in the London. I stopped at 200lvl before getting transferred into 300lvl in Nigeria. Y'all must be wondering why I just didn't complete my studies well Baba thought I was still a "child" so I can't be left alone in a foreign country that I literally grew up in. Thou I miss lots of my friends Vanessa and Yasmin they were my closest friends Vanessa was British while Yasmin was also a Nigerian born in the diaspora.
My thoughts were interrupted when Metro came in to tell me breakfast is ready. These few days Nene doesn't have breakfast or lunch with us because she is always in Uncle Mahmoud House helping Anty Falmata Husna's mom with prepping.
I had my breakfast with baba and I told him about me moving to uncle's and he agreed with that.
I went back to my room and sort my suit case. I wore a simple sandal to match my dress and I didn't care to wear a veil. My hair was long and scattered so a reminder to trim it later.I took the key to the BMW and zone off to the Mahmoud Jay.
I reached the house and parked at the parking lot there were a lot of people roaming about. I took my suitcase out of the trunk and set it down to roll it.
I completely hanged at the image I saw infront of me ..
It was Mr Arrogant or sorry Mr Aryan with Maimoon and Abba plus another cute little girl playing in the premises. He was wearing a light blue Kaftan with a cover shoe that was shining I could see myself in it. One word dashing. I have to admit he is a good dresser.I moved forward and his laughter resonates my ears it was genuine not the stupid smirk he always has plastered in his stupid face, this was different and he seems different ,peaceful and ama..
"Cindiiiii" Maimoon and Abba shouted cutting my thoughts or was I stalking.
I knee to their level and gave them the biggest hug possible while Aryan stood there looking at us if eyes could kill them I will be 6ft down the grave by now by his piercing looks. It then came to me that my hair was open and my clothes is a strap okay maybe you should now listen to nene when it comes to dressing more modestly. I just wish I could just kill that voice in me. The awkward stare was cut short by Maimoon thankfully
"Cindi this is our new friend Anam and this is Champ also our new friend" she said giggling as Aryan tickles her."Heyyyyy Anam come here" I open my hands wide for a hug and she comfortably went in. She was such a cutie, she had her hair in pony tail and was wearing the same color of dress as mine what a coincidence
She is also light skin and has the charming aura around her with a beautiful long lashes ."Hey Cinderella" she said cutely
"How are you my baby" I played with her cheeks and she smiled.
"Am good, I love your hair is look like my grandma's thou Nona's is a little silver color" she giggle making me laugh.
"Ohh really" I whispered in her ear and she put her hands over her mouth and smiled while Aryan was still looking at me as I interacted with the kids making it seems am unfazed but damn I was.
"So Maimoon is Mummy and Nene inside"
"Nooo Cindi no one is inside apart from the Maids they all went out"
"Ohh" was all I can say as I stood up from where I was kneeling with Abbas hands in mine.
Aryan and I haven't said a single word to each other obviously we hate each other what do you expect.
"So kids are you readyyyyyyy"he shouted energetically to match the kids energy.
"Yeshhh yes yeahhhh Champ" came their cute voices making my cheeks red.
"Cindii can you come with us too" Anam
"Yesh chindi pwease" That was Abba
I look over to Aryan and I could sense his restlessness "Ermmm babies you see Cindi is really tired and I have to rest so I can't go" their faces dropped and I was feeling guilty for turning thouse cute things down but I just have too.
"Buttttt we can go on a night drive ice cream date later at night" I said as their faces lit up with smiles and wallahi I could swear for a moment I saw a smile on Aryan's face but who am I kidding he is a heartless arrogant person.
They all hugged me and kissed me bye as Aryan took Abba in his arms while holding Maimoon and Anam's hands as the make their way to the car lot.
Isn't he just going to make a great father for the first time I smiled at my conscience remarks normally she is just bricking but this time she was practical and I hate to admit but surely Aryan will make the best dad in the world.
I took my suit case I marched into the house. I went into the guest room the maids showed me. I was very lonely because Kausar and Ammie have move out of the MJay house because of the tradition so they are currently living in one of Baba's Mansion in GRA.
I decided to change my dress into something more reasonable. I wore a Azikwe gown, a Nigerian brand. It was a simple yet elegant gown and perfect for a normal day.
I called Nenne, she told me they will be back by evening so i spent the rest of my boring day with Fati Maimoon and Abba nanny.
Not proud of this chapter cause it seems boring but trust me more are yet to come 🦋the picture above it what I normally imagined Ahlam to be so you can use it for your imaginations
