I woke up to my girlfriend, ash planting a kiss on my cheek. "It's time to wake up we have a lot to do today" her beautiful voice chimed. "..hmmmmm" i grumbled, "five more minutes" i said, my voice as raspy as a chain smoker. I pulled her arm so she would fall on the bed. "Fine, but only because it's your birthday" She said. "mhm" i hummed, already slipping back into a deep slumber. "Ok, you've had your five minutes c'mon" i heard her say. Five minutes already? That was like 5 milli seconds. I slowly pried my eyes open being met by my girlfriend smiling down at me. "~I made breakfast~" she sang. "Ooh what'd ya make?" I replied, a little bit more awake. "Guess you'll have to come and find out" and with that she left the room, wearing pajama shorts and a large sweatshirt that hung right below her butt. I turned to my left and checked my phone.

"October 17th

I can't believe I'm turning 25. It's officially the 10 year anniversary of us running away. I get up not bothering to throw some shorts on, my baggy shirt covers my underwear anyway. Even if it didn't, it's not anything she hasnt seen before. I slowly walk into the kitchen the beautiful smell already making my mouth water. She made my favorite food ever, her delicious potato pancakes. Homemade mashed potato's turned into a dough, fried to perfection. "Morning love" i said while walking up behind her, grabbing her waist. "Good morning darling" she replied. She has such an angelic voice, I've always been in love with it.

"Happy birthday hon" she cooed turning around and giving me a peck on the lips. My cheeks flush as I reply "thank you darling"We've always used pet names for each other but that one always makes me blush. She handed me a plate and a mug filled with tea. "Porch?" She asked smiling, I smile back while nodding. I swear, sometimes she can read my mind. We walk onto our porch that wraps around our small cottage, ash grabbing her plate and mug in the process. We sit down on our porch swing setting our breakfast down on the coffee table across from us. While staring out into our forest, I ask "do you still remember our childhood together?" "Of course I do raven" she replied "how could I forget?"
