Jasper awoke from his sleep, his body sore and neck strained from a shitty night sleeping. He sat up from the darkly colored sheets, pushing his weighted blanket away from his body. He was always a big mover in his sleep, sometimes waking up upside down or on the floor. He sat at the edge of the bed and tried to clean up his hair.

He immediately stretched himself out, arms above his head and his back popping as he moved around his space. The blankets moved around as a small, yet chunky chihuahua waddled out from the blankets. The dog was thirteen years old, had short black fur that was holding white hairs from her age, and was a very sweet puppy. Jasper smiled seeing his best friend walking out of the covers and waited until she sat next to him. Her small head then looked up at Jasper, cloudy eyes searching for comfort and love. Jasper then put a hand on his dog's head and scratched her head gently, showing his favorite old lady some love. "Hey there Bella. You seemed to have had a good sleep" Jasper whispered as he then leaned over and put a gentle kiss on Bella's head.

Bella yawned, her breath smelling a bit bad as she was an older dog and needed help with cleaning up. She then began to lick Jasper's hand and her head up against his hand. He was so happy about it all. He loved his Bella. She was with Jasper from when he was three and was a bit lonely. His father was in the military and it made it hard for him to make good, solid connections, but Bella was always there for him. He then gently picked Bella up and walked to the door of his room. He slid on his house slippers and opened the door, prepared for the harshness his days would bring him.

He walked downstairs, not caring to take notice of the home he was living in. He moved so often that he didn't want to get too attached to things. He got to the backdoor of the home, set Bella on the floor and let her outside. He then pulled away from the door and was greeted by his Dad, named John.

"Good morning Emily" The older man said, wearing his military OCP uniforms. The man had barely any brown hair on his head, a crooked nose, brown eyes, and wore a black rubber ring in his left ring finger to show his marriage with Jasper's mom, Beverly. He was almost never home for when Jasper grew up, missing more than half of his child's birthdays. He didn't even care about his child's changes

"Not my name" Jasper sighed as he rolled his eyes, letting his dog inside after hearing her bark at the door. He never liked when he was called that horrible name. He felt a pang of emotional pain anytime his Dad called him Emily. He brushed his dad off and walked off to his room.

He spent his morning in his room, getting dressed in his outfits. He dressed himself in a black shirt, to hide his binder that might reveal his secret. He dawned some baggy black pants, a jacket with a nice design of his favorite movie series, Child's Play. He had some high top Vans, alien head patterned green socks, and some various jewelry on himself. He began to walk to the school, as walking felt nicer on his legs.

At school, he was making his way to his classroom, not bothering with breakfast, as he wasn't a breakfast person. He sat by the window, enjoying the nice clouds that covered the sky in a heavy gray blanket. Suddenly, he saw his friend show up and stood next to his desk. "Hey June"

"Hey there Jasper, what are you doing after school?" The friend asked. June was a recent friend of Jasper's, only knowing him for three months. She was a big supporter of Jasper and always was the sun to bring him smiles. He smiled immediately at her and rolled his eyes.

"I'm not doing anything, why? You wanna watch bad horror movies again?" He asked playfully as he looked over June's outfit. She wore some light colored mom jeans, a soft pink shirt, a pair of off brand shoes that were colored a tye dye pattern, and a hairstyle of a ponytail with no bangs, but made her style look cleaner than other people's

"Obviously! I bought some marble soda for us, and I'll drive you home afterwards"

"Got it, I'll be over at five then" He nodded as he watched June walk off and dash to her own class, which she'd always be late to.

The three thirty p.m. bell rang loudly in the school. Jasper was happy to be able to leave this school that felt like a smog in his lungs. He packed his things up and quickly left to rush off and nap before going over to June's place. He weaved and knitted his way through the people in the halls, his body quickly moving from how small he truly was. He was five feet and three inches tall, easily able to get through the people that were a lot bigger and stronger than him, damn Texans. He was running to the exit of his choice, the back exit that was built near the main gym. He was so close to the fresh air of the world outside of the smoggy school, but was met with a road block. Someone was also leaving the gym, and walked right in front of his premade beeline. He couldn't really stop and immediately hit the person's shoulder.

He was knocked back and he managed to not fall, but he hit his knee on the tile below. He immediately began to apologize profusely, looking up to see he ran into someone a lot bigger than him, Tom.

Tom, otherwise known as Tomoya, was a volleyball player, tall, had short choppy black hair that barely was able to pass his hairline. His face had a cold and unbothered look most of the time, a pair of black rectangle framed glasses for simplicity. He was stern and logical, yet was still sassy and crude to people. He looked down at Jasper and huffed while his nostrils flared, his slender hand coming up and fixing his glasses from the harsh encounter. "Don't run into people. It's very idiotic" He hissed as he glared at Jasper like he would hurt the boy for the inconvenience.

Jasper got embarrassed about this encounter, immediately, he dug through hie pockets to search for something to give this guy to apologize. "I'm sorry! I didn't see you! Here, take this!" Jasper said as took out a packet of crackers he got from lunch. He quickly handed them to Tom and immediately ran out of the school to get home as fast as possible.

Tom didn't say anything, but he was obviously confused about things. He just rolled his eyes and tossed the crackers away in the bin close to himself.

Jasper got home, forgetting about the encounter immediately as he didn't see it as much other than being a small mistake that he tried to fix. He got to his room, not caring if his Dad spoke to him. He threw his bag down and slid out of his binder, letting his chest breathe from being flat all day. He took his shoes off and immediately laid on his bed. So much time was passing so fast in his life, as this was a routine to him. Nothing new. His days felt like a few hours. Weeks like a day. Months like a week. But he didn't mind. He was able to disassociate from the stress of his life and let time fly past him.
