*The Next Day*

P.I.X.A.L’s P.O.V:

When I woke up, I felt Zane’s arms wrapped around me. Today I slept in his room. I feel like we are getting closer by the day. He kissed me on the cheek when he noticed that I was awake.

“Morning, Snowflake,” Zane said.

“Good morning, Zane,” I said.

“Do you want to do something today?” Zane asked.

“We can do anything, I just want to be with you,” I said.

“Me too. We can think about where to go later. I like being here with you,” Zane said.

He pulled me in closer and I turned to face him. I put my hands on his chest and he wrapped his arms around my back.

Why am I doing this to him? Zane is genuinely a good guy and I need to stop betraying him. I don't want to do anything anymore for Jair anymore. And I'm not saying this just because Zane is a nice guy, but I'm saying this because I truly love him.

I should tell Zane the truth about me and Jair. I will tell him later, when the right time comes. From now on, no more stealing or using him for money.

“We need to seriously get up. We can't be here all day,” I laughed.

“As much as I would love to stay here, you are right,” Zane said.

He kissed me multiple times on my cheek which made me laugh a lot! Then, we both got up and went our own ways to get ready.

Today I wore a navy blue shirt with white pants. When I walked downstairs, I saw an omelet that looked like it was made at a 5 star restaurant on the dining table.

“That looks good,” I said.

“Have a taste, I bet it would taste better than it looks,” Zane said.

I took the fork that Zane was handing me and cut a piece of the omelet. I put that in my mouth and pretended to be a food critic.

“Splendid! You did good, Mr.Julien,” I said.

“Thank you,” Zane said, passing me a napkin so I can wipe my face in a neat way.

But, before I could do that I saw some writing on the napkin that said ‘can I have your number?’. I started laughing, this whole food critic thing was funny enough as it was, but when Zane asked for my food critic's number it got even funnier.

“Zane! What type of reputation are you keeping in front of the food critic?” I asked, strictly and then started giggling.

“A great one,” Zane said, taking my hand and kissing it.

I rolled my eyes and noticed Zane’s happy expression change into a concerned one.

“What happened?” I asked.

“What happened to your wrist?” Zane asked.

I looked down to see my bruised wrist. Oh no! Maybe this was the right time to tell him about Jair.

“About that. Zane, I need to tell you something important,” I said.

Zane went to go get something. He came back with a paste for bruises and sat down.

“Go ahead, I will put this on your bruise while you tell me,” Zane said.

He started putting the paste on my wrist and I couldn't help, but smile at him.

“I wanted to tell you that you are genuinely a good guy. I don't want to hurt you, so I am telling you this that I have feelings for you,” I said.

“I already know that, Pix. That's why you're with me,” Zane said laughing,“Please continue.”

“I have been doing something really wrong and I wanted to tell you that I am in an–” my phone interrupted me.

I picked up the call and Zane just focused on applying the paste to my bruise which was all around my wrist.

“How dare you break my trust?” I heard the spine chilling voice once again.

I didn't want to respond.

“How dare you try to tell him! Who do you think you are? Look, I can live without you, but you can't live without me! You need me to live! And you are behaving like this! Watch what happens now! Meet me at my house at 6pm,” Jair yelled.

He cut the call. I knew if I didn't go then he would come tracking me down. He would find me no matter where I go. Tears started streaming down my cheeks and Zane looked at me in worry.

Before Zane could say anything I got up, moved my hand away from Zane’s and said,“forgot about anything I have said.”

I was about to walk away when Zane stopped me.

“Even the part where you said you had feelings for me?” Zane asked.

All of a sudden, I turned back and hugged Zane tight. The tears started pouring again from my eyes.

“No, don't forget that part,” I said, crying even more.

Zane rubbed my back soothingly and placed his lips on my forehead.

“I don't think I will. But, what happened, P.I.X.A.L?” Zane asked.

“Nothing, I just got a little emotional. Also, I got bruised here because my bangle was too tight,” I said.

“Are you ok?” Zane asked.

“I'm alright. Also, I need to go back to my house today at 6,” I said.

Zane pulled me in closer.

“Really? I wanted you to stay with me,” Zane said.

“Don't worry. I might come visit you everyday,” I said.

“Ok,” Zane said.

We let go and I went upstairs to grab my bag. When I went downstairs, Zane had wrapped me in a big hug.

“Promise me you will come back,” Zane said.

“I will and I know this will never happen, but if I don't then you can just spam text me,” I said, laughing.

I might be laughing now, but I knew that was going to come to an end soon.

“Alright. Don't forget I love you,” Zane said.

Then, Zane put his lips on mine and we kissed. This kiss was more comforting and I actually liked it.

When we let go I said,“I love you, too.”

That was genuine.

We said our final goodbye for the day and I hopped into one of Zane’s cars. His butler was driving me home. I had wished that the ride was very long, but that did not happen.

As soon as I knew it, I was at my house. My hands were starting to shake and I took my time to get out of the car.

“Thank you,” I said to Zane’s butler.

“No problem, ma'am,” he said.

I took a deep breath and walked towards the door. Everything is going to be fine. I am alright. I don't need to worry.

Anxious, I lightly knocked on the door.
