Chapter 1-Starting Fresh

Kimberly POV

I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock blaring in my ear. I got up and stretched. Before I got ready, I went downstairs to get breakfast. All I got was a piece of toast and orange juice.

" Are you all packed up?" My mom said as she came in the kitchen. "Yeah. What time are we leaving ?" I asked worried I wouldn't have time to get ready. "Umm...probably around 12:45 or 1:00." I nodded and went back upstairs.

I hoped in the shower then got out and straightened my hair and put on light mascara. Today I just wore some black leggings and a sweatshirt. I mean, I needed to be comfortable for the drive to NC. I turned my radio on and listened to Stiches by Shawn Mendes. Shawn is amazing! I sang with the song at the top of my lungs.

You watch me, bleed until I can't breathe. Shaking!
Falling onto my knees.
And now that I'm without your kisses, ill be needing stiches!!

By the time I was done, it was 12:30. I grabbed my bag and headed down to meet my mom and Bart. " Hi Kimberly. How are you? Ready for the new adventure?!" Bart asked me. I wasn't exited about this but I said sure and got in the car. The ride is like 18 or 19 hours so I'm not sure why we waited till afternoon to leave.

" So K, have I told you about my job? Being a teenage girl I would think you would be pretty exited." Bart said. Mom was being really quiet but I think that might be a good thing. " no, I don't think so. What is it?" I asked.. " Well, I work at/for Magcon! Isn't that cool?!! Maybe ill let you meet the guys sometime!" Bart said. I've heard of Magcon but I dont know. Every single one of the girls at my old school talk about them all the time. I've never seen what any of them look like just cause I dont want to get caught up in all that drama.

"Were almost there Kimberly! Kimberly? Wake up!" My mom said. " What is it now?" I mumbled to myself. I pulled myself up and looked out the window. " Are we in North Carolina? This place is really pretty." I asked. " Yup. We will be at the house in about 30 mins.

~Skip the rest of the ride~

I looked up to the new house and sighed. The house was huge and had a big backyard. " This is it! Do you like it K?" Bart asked me. " It sure is something!" I said and walked with a few boxes to the house. Inside I felt like it was winter. It was freezing and everything was white. " Wow. " I whispered. Bart told me where my room was and I went upstairs to put my things away. My room was purple. My favorite color. It had a balcony, a walk in closet, and big bathroom that's as attached. It's pretty cool. I'm happy it's the beginning of summer so no school!! Bart said that he had to talk to me about something tomorrow. I was tired so without thinking hopped in bed and instantly fell asleep.
