I dropped my phone on to the counter in shock and Alex looks up at me. "Are you okay?" he asks.
I look up at him, "I'm fine, er...do you mind if I take this into the living room?"
"Yeah sure, I'll come with you, we can watch a movie" he says and we walk into the living room.
"Is the hot chocolate alright?" he asks.
"Yeah it's great" I smile briefly.
Ten minutes later the soggy marshmallows have sunk to the bottom of the cup. I can't stop thinking on what to do. I don't have any clothes with me here, and I most definitely can't act like this is my home. I'm sure Alex only expects me to stay here for a day or two, he obviously doesn't want me here any longer than that.
Whilst Alex is engrossed in the movie, I dial Dylan's number and yet again, it goes straight to voicemail. I put my mug down on the nearby coffee table, my wrist is aching for holding it in that position for so long.
I go back on my message app and look at the message. It's them, I know that for definite. But do they know where I am? Maybe they're bluffing?
But maybe they're not.
I sigh in mid thought and face the huge flat screen telly, trying to lose my self in the film. The credits begin to roll and yet I don't blink, talk or stir. "Danielle are you okay, you haven't moved from that position since...a while now?"
"I'm fine" I croak out. I glance at the clock, it's half past eleven. I lied down on the sofa and fall asleep within minutes.

"Hey, wake up" Alex jostles me.
"W-what?" I say in confusion.
"You fell asleep on the couch, and even though it's really expensive, it's not all too comfortable, here I'll take you to your room" he holds his hand out. I take it and get up, he was right.
"Ow" I rub my sore neck. It's only been an hour that I've fallen asleep and my neck is already sore. I rub it so the pain lessens. Alex takes me to the guest room presumably, and as soon as the bed is in sight, I crash down onto it. I groan as I hurt my neck.
"So is that dress somewhat comfortable?" Alex asks me.
"What?" I say with my eyes shut.
"Your dress. Shouldn't you change out of it to sleep?"
"Oh right, in normal circumstances I would, but I don't have any clothes with me here, so this'll have to do" I tug at the hem of my dress as it has risen up.
"Don't be silly, it looks really uncomfortable" Alex says. "Here I'll lend you something of mine" he offers, presumably turning to fetch something of his.
"No, no, no" I quickly stop him. "It's fine, this will do, thank you anyway. You've done enough for me by letting me stay here for the night". I couldn't sleep in his designer clothes, thats taking way too much. Though, I wouldn't mind burying my face in his scent all night long.
"You do realise that I'm still going to fetch you something to wear" he says turning to head away, probably into his walk in closet.
I don't bother arguing, but fight the urge of falling asleep till he comes back. If he has to jostle me awake again, that will be embarrassing. He comes back with a a t'shirt of his and boxers.
"You brought....your pants" I say deadpan.
"Yeah, whats wrong?" he says.
I take the t'shirt off of him, but leave the pants. "Alex, I'm not going to wear your boxers!" I laugh.
