The Real Deal: Chapter 2

Carl's POV

On the second day of filming, I still had no progress made with the girl. I only knew her name, Anna. I loved it. I wanted to talk to her. I just couldn't bring myself to.

This was the first scene I had with her, and I couldn't wait. We got in our places. I hoped that after this I could actually talk to her. She smiled at me a lot, did that mean something? I hoped.

Anna's POV

The first scene. The first scene that I am in, is with Carl. I'm so excited I can barely stand it. The director tells us to get in our places.

"We have a surprise for you at the end, just wait and see!" Shouts the producer just before we begin.

"Quiet on the set! Action!" The director starts the camera. My lines escape my head for a minute, then return. I turn to Carl and begin.

"Being all alone out here is a dangerous thing. You never know when a walker will find you. Hi, I'm Anna. My three sisters and I just found your group. They accepted us." I nailed my first line.

"I don't see why not, if your sisters are as pretty as you, it's a blessing to have all of you." The love interest began.

"Cut!" I was surprised. I thought we were doing great.

"This is the big surprise. Anna, you sit down next to Carl. Carl, you kiss Anna on the cheek." The director said slowly. I couldn't believe it. My heart was beating so fast. The director yelled action again, but I barely heard it. I walked over to Carl, sat down next to him, and smiled. He didn't look very happy. I knew he didn't like me, but this confirmed it.

"Stop!" I yelled. "I don't feel comfortable with this. I'm sorry." I ran off crying.

Carl's POV

She stopped the scene. She hated me. I didn't even know what I had done. She was crying so hard, I couldn't believe what I had done. What had I done? I don't even know.

"That's a wrap for today!" The director yelled. I decided I would go and try to find her.

I looked for an hour. I finally ran into her in the third floor hallway of the hotel. I grabbed her arm, and pulled her toward me. I hugged her. I didn't mean to. It just happened. She hugged back, that had to mean something.

"What happened, back there?" I whispered.

"I thought you hated me." She began crying again.

"I couldn't ever hate you. That look, it was because I was nervous. I thought you hated me. Do you?" I answered.

"Never. You're amazing. I just want..."

"Just want what?" I began getting nervous.

"I just want you." She pulled away and started walking.
