4 Roses 1 Brown 1 Blue 1 Red 1 Purple.

The brown rose grows smart but it's surrounded by a weed

A selfish weed that takes advantage of when it succeeds

To be free the little rose uproots itself and leaves

But the scars of that weed will never recede

The red a classic is dependent on the blue

It needs it to see the world as though brand new

So when the blue rose faded to gray then black

The red  faded a little too

These days it bears its thorns and fakes a smile

Be careful a thorn grove looms

Through the tragedy of their love

the purple is born to protect the brown

I'll tell you something you couldn't know

should you hang around a ginger rose

You'll find the browns heart in tow

The purple rose freed the brown rose

The red freed the blue

The black lily freed the purple rose

And blue freed red too
