"You wanna-"
Rick cleared his throat, looking at Nigel with still that same look of unforeseen curiosity that rested on his gray and wrinkled features. There was something inside of Nigel's gray and plump features, small eyes, black and simple poked out from the round of his cheeks as he sat in the warmth of the steaming rise of the tube water that was opposite enough that it caused an abrasive and disorienting contrast, and there seemed to be a forgiveness from Rick's end in regards to his own grotesque caution and vague form of dissociated disgust that took his features that seemed to forgive him for the difference.
"I'll-ah-wrap you in a towel so you at least don't have too much water dribbling down on the floor once you get out."
His slender body turned over to where you had placed the bathroom towels while they wrapped around the front of the gray railings beside the mirror that sat above the sink. Nigel squirmed the small gray naked of his body under the water as he watched Rick with an expression that was involved enough that it gave away his curiosity, but it was clear to Rick that he was far too simple and innocent minded to come close to having any genuine knowledge of what was occurring. He leaned forward as his pale hands wrapped around the towel and released it from the gray rail, curling it around his palm as he turned back to his son, and the heaviness in his eyes seemed to increase as he looked the small chubby pout of Nigel over.
"No amount of anything to do with physical form is going to change the fact that you still have the brain of some bleak white plane of mush, and that's putting it the kind way."
Nigel blinked rapidly as he felt Rick's hands reach out and pull around the small of his body, and with a soft kick of his chubby legs the towel was firmly guided around his small body. Rick kept his movements abrasively simple as he pulled him out of the water, firm and focused in the action of wrapping both arms around the small of his body as he tugged him out of the water. Nigel squirmed as he felt the towel wrap around his body while both of Rick's hand slinked around his body and beside his chest, turning him against the rail thin layer of hic ehst. His eyes kept lowered, heavied as he looked down as allowed his other hand to rest behind the middle of the back, Nigel shivering but lessened into a mode of his own gradual recognition of his father- distant and as barely known as it was.
"You should get the bed ready, or whatever the fuck you want to call the resting nest we have for your project. I don't want to have to deal with other layered conversation of whatever you think of in the morning, or worry about having to wake up to a kid with physical problems around his body or whatever cranks in his neck or body will exist if he's not sleeping properly."
"Rick." He could hear the adjustment of your body beside the door, your hands grazing beside the robe of your movement that came along with the uncomfortability of the thickness and demand he was putting on the conversation. His eyes flicked to the sid, but only for less than a half moment of acknowledgement, even to himself.
Rick's quick and even toned demand was spoken without him so much as even turning his head over his shoulder to acknowledge the fact that you were leaned beside the doorframe, nor was there anything in his movement that gave away anything that was challenged or disturbed by the action of what he was taking. There was a soft form of relief in the air of his body wrapped around Nigel as he began to raise himself upward with his hand rested behind his back that Nigel was too young and ignorant towards anything to be aware of Rick's tension around his body; instead, the round of his cheek and the leaning of his head beside Rick had already rested into a sullen and accepting fallen and rested leaning ease beside his chest.
"I mean it. I'm not adding a list to things as simple as him taking a nap for a few short hours. Since, you know, I know you won't be sleeping, if I know anything about the way you're walking around with that feel to you tonight-which I know you are."
