It was a week after the party and I was sitting in my room, talking with Reagan on the phone.
"I should've just stayed home" she said. She was grounded when she came home at 11 pm from Matt's party and she never asked her parents. But today was her last day at least. I've been bored all week without her.
"Hey it's your last day, then we won't be bored" I said.
"Marisa Nicole Watson, come here" my mom called up to me. "I gotta go Reagan" I told her. "I'll pray for you" she said, hearing that my mom called me by my full name.
I walked downstairs and my mom sitting at the island.
"Where were you last weekend?" She asked me. Oh shit.
"I was with Reagan and Damian at Reagan's house, I thought I told James that" I said.
"But he said you never came back until 11 pm that night" she told me.
I stood there, not quite knowing what to say.
"How come he was able to go to his friend's party and stay until 1am and have alcohol, UNDERAGED" I said. I wasn't going down alone. "I've never seen him enter the house that late" she said. "I had to keep him quiet, I didn't want him to wake you up since Mother's Day was the next day." I said.
"Why didn't you tell me?" She asked. "I didn't want to stress you out on Mother's Day and then I kind of forgot afterwards" I told her.
And just as if it was timed, James walked through door.
She got up and walked over to him.I was relieved she forgot about my topic. I snuck back upstairs and went to my room.
I sat on my bed and watched Netflix. While trying to find something to watch.
M: I just about got grounded :/
R: how?
M: James told my mom. That's what she called me down for. Then I busted him for going to a party with alcohol
R: he's gonna hate you
M: I wasn't going to let him get away with it
I continued watching Netflix for a while and then decided to take a nap.
• 1 hour later •
I woke up from a really good dream, dammit.
I picked up my phone to check the time, but saw a few texts from Nash and Matt.
M: hey are you doing anything today?
M: Nash, Hayes and I need someone else with us, we've been annoyed of each other for a while
N: do you know if Reagan's free anytime soon?
N: do you have her number?
I replied to Matt
Marisa: I'll see if I can sneak past my mom, she's kind of pissed off at me at the moment.
Then I sent Nash Reagan's number, after telling Reagan about it.
I got up and changed out of my lazy outfit.
I pulled out a navy blue v-neck with some dark wash jeans and gold colored sandals.
I walked over to my window and opened it, stepping over the balcony and climbing down the woven looking thing against my house that grows vines on them.
I walked over to my gate and climbed over it as quietly as possible, then walked down the road to Matt's house. I think I remember the way, I watched how to get there when we were driving back.
