Indian cricketer dies on the field at 34

K Hoysala, who had played for Karnataka, recently passed away after suffering a fatal heart attack during a cricket match in the ongoing Aegis South Zone tournament. He was 34. The incident happened after Karnataka's match against Tamil Nadu at the RSI cricket ground in Bengaluru. After celebrating Karnataka's win, Hoysala fell unconscious due to chest pain.

He was being taken to Bowring Hospital in Bengaluru by ambulance when he passed away. The heartbreaking event occurred on February 22, but the details came out on the evening of February 23.

He played in the middle order and was even a good bowler. Hoysala represented the Karnataka team in the under-25 category and was also a part of the Karnataka Premier League.

Dr. Manoj Kumar, Dean of Bowring Hospital and Atal Bihari Medical College, said that the player was dead when he was brought to the hospital and everything would be revealed after the postmortem.

"He had passed away due to heart attack. The postmortem has been completed and we are waiting for the report," said Dr. Kumar.
