I walked out to the front porch of my cruddy apartments lobby. My sister was waiting for me and gave me a hug. She had to fly to Boston to get a job interview and hated the thought of me being home alone in LA, which is where we lived. Currently, she works at a shoe company where she boxes shoes and only pulls in about 9 dollars an hour. And she works a lot of the day so she is almost never home. I'm hoping she gets this job because then we'll be able to maybe move to a good apartment about a mile from here. We have a good view from our balcony though and that's all I might miss. "Hey, be careful. Claire is paying for you and everything. She should be with you most of the time. Be careful. And don't be stupid," she said and chuckled. I smiled. " Right back at you. If you get this job then we'll have a great apartment in that building and I might not have to sleep on a couch every night. " I smiled and she laughed a little too, but I could tell she felt guilty for not getting me my own room and great clothes but mine weren't that bad at all. I shopped at a place that had designer clothes for low prices and it's actually really helpful. "I'm sorry. Just have some fun and make a friend or even a boyfriend. " She said and winked at me. (In this thing Zach and I are both only like 17. I'm I know he's like twenty but plz preetend. 😂☺️) "yeah. I'll try" and we both laughed. I took my suitcase and headed to the cab after one last hug. It reminded me of family vacations that we used to have. Then my dad, brother, and mom left us when my sister turned 21 so that they wouldn't have to pay for us since we were basically broke. But we're doing fine. "Bye" she said and waved at me as the cab driver pulled away.
