My First Day

Chase's POV:
It was my first day at Cherryton University, and I was extremely nervous. Gon greeted me at the gate, anticipating my arrival. I was one of two humans who attended the university. He toured me around the campus and showed me my dorm room. I was rooming with the other human along with a dall sheep and an alpaca. Once I got into my uniform and settled in, it was already 5:00 pm.

"My name's Chase. How about you?" I said.

"Name's Pina, and these are Tem and Kumar," the sheep said, gesturing towards the alpaca and then the other human.

"Nice to meet you all," I said with a smile.

"Well, I think that it's high time that we head to drama club," Pina said.

"Yep," Tem said, looking at his watch.

"Are you in drama?" I asked Kumar.

"Nah, I'm not much of a performer," he said, waving his hand.

"Shall we?" Pina said.

"All right. But I heard I have to be eligible from the report cards," I mentioned.

"Yep. If not, I can persuade Sanu to let you in~," Pina said.

"Enough jibber-jabber. Let's go," Tem said.

"See ya, Kumar," I said as I waved my hand and then shut the door behind me. As we walked, Tem informed me of a wolf and a tiger who would give each other shit for no reason.

"Ah, you must be Chase," Sanu said.

"Yes, sir," I said, bowing.

"He's kinda cute," a mongoose said.

"Oh, don't be ridiculous," I said.

"Name's Kai, and this is Legoshi. That's Tao. Over there is Kibi. The bear is Riz. You seem to know Tem and Pina..." Kai said as he introduced everyone. The last person he introduced was a Bengal tiger named Bill.

"Nice to meet you all," I said with a warm smile.

"Welcome to drama club," Bill said as he walked over before placing a hand firmly on my shoulder. I gulped as I stared at his biceps.

"Umm... t-thank you," I said, my legs shaking like a Shindo 7 quake. That is to say, violently.

"Are you okay?" Bill asked, looking down at me.

"Please excuse me for a moment," I said before running off down the hallway and out the building.

Bill's POV:
When Chase ran off, I ran after him. I eventually caught up to him and grabbed his right arm.

"Let me go!," he exclaimed, trying to pry my fingers off. I looked into his eyes, and I saw tears.

"Please, let's talk," I said calmly. He slowly loosened up, and we sat down next to each other in the hallway.

"Why'd you run away?" I asked.

"Because y-you're...," Chase said before motioning to all of me.

"Muscular?" I said.

"Yes," Chase said.

"Well, thank you. I may be a carnivore, but I don't plan on devouring any time soon. I don't want you to end up like Fuli," I said.

"What happened?" Chase asked.

"She was devoured. By one of the carnivores in the drama club. If you ask me, I think it's Riz. Fuli always told me, 'One day, he's gonna lapse in his meds.' To be fair, those muscle stimulants- correction: all stimulants do stuff to your mind that are rather... unpleasant," I said.

"Wow. I definitely need to keep an eye on him," Chase said. His hand was twitching. I grabbed his hand and placed it in mine. That's when I realised that they were much smaller and more delicate.

"Not you flirting with the new student," a voice said.

"Pina, I swear to god," I said as I stood up.

Pina's POV:
When Bill stood up, I got a little bit scared. I usually do when muscular guys tower over me.

"Bill," Chase said. I looked to him in pure awe and amazement.

"Chase, leave it to me," Bill said. Chase then stepped in front of me.

"Both of you, stop," Chase said, placing a hand on each of our chests. I felt my face go warm.

"Aww, is the flirty boy blushing?" Bill said. Chase glared at him.

"All right, all right, fine. Jeez," Bill said, rolling his eyes. I grabbed the hand that Chase had on my chest and held it.

"Shall we?" I asked.

"Uhh, sure," Chase said nervously.

"Oh, I should give you my number," Bill said as he got out a piece of paper and a pen.

"I didn't know that you carried a pen and paper with you," I said with a smirk. Bill huffed at me, and I put my hands in the air in surrender. Bill then handed the paper to Chase.

"Thank you," Chase said.

"No problem," Bill said with a fanged smile. I grabbed Chase's hand, and we all walked back to the practise room.
