Luca Vittielo's POV
After my young guest left me and Matteo returned to handle the business matters that my father usually oversees, we retreated to my penthouse for an espresso. "The Bratva has attacked one of our drug factories again," Matteo informed me, drawing my attention. Lately, the Russians had been causing trouble in New York, targeting our drugs, clubs, and even trying to sway chain restaurant owners to their side. But I made it clear that they would have to deal with me or my brother before taking over. "Contact our other soldiers and ensure they gather all details about the attacks and any casualties," I instructed Matteo. He nodded, immediately reaching for his phone to carry out my orders. We discussed the situation for hours before deciding to head out.
"Today was quite interesting," Matteo remarked out of the blue. I gave him a quizzical look, wondering what he meant. Following his gaze, I saw him looking at the table where we had dined with the young girl that I had accidentally bumped into earlier. "Well, I suppose you could say it was interesting, considering how she handled you so well," I teased him. It was amusing to see Matteo trying to banter with the little girl, only to end up on the receiving end. It had been a while since a girl had made me laugh, especially a young one. "But she did seem mature for her age," he added, a point I had to agree with. Most ten-year-olds would have likely burst into tears in such unfamiliar surroundings with strangers watching.
"She comes from a prominent family," I mused, recalling the luxurious car that had been waiting for her. It was evident that her parents belonged to a wealthy and influential family. If only I knew who she was, I could consider forming an alliance with her family. However, her identity remained a mystery to me, as I hadn't even had the chance to learn her name. Frustrating, to say the least.
Despite the uncertainties surrounding the young girl, her brief presence had left a lasting impression on both Matteo and me. As we ventured out into the city, the events of the day lingered in my mind, prompting me to consider the implications of the encounters we had experienced. The looming threat posed by the Bratva added a layer of complexity to our already intricate dealings, requiring swift and strategic actions to safeguard our interests and maintain control in the face of external challenges.
With each step we took towards our next destination, I couldn't shake off the curiosity about the mysterious girl and the potential alliances that could be formed. The intricate web of relationships and power dynamics in the city demanded constant vigilance and calculated decisions, reminding me of the delicate balance we had to maintain to navigate through the intricate world we inhabited.
--Sarah Jane Reyes's POV--
I finally got back from my penthouse and went straight to the room where I woke up although in the way back Mia didn't even hesitate to lecture me about running out so suddenly and it went for that long until we finally arrived to the penthouse. When I got inside the room that I'm staying I started to walk to the walk in closet to find a comfortable clothes to change , and well lucky me I did find one not only that but a lot of clothes that fit me not only that I also find different sizes of girl clothes and hey it's my taste of clothes they also have undergarments and I'm not going to ask nor figure it out the reason. I just grab the things that I need and went from there.
After taking a bath I sat down in the bed while I dried my hair , while doing it I found some papers in the night stand I garb it and read what's in the paper.
''Hello again, did you have fun meeting the main characters in this world? Judging by what I saw, I guess you did a little as for our main characters they enjoyed your company''. Are you serious right now that's the first question that it's going ask me, I randomly woke up in a strange place without even knowing where I am and it's impossible to say this but I suddenly bump to people who only exists in books that was meant for people to read but here I am into a unknown world and I get a feeling that there's going to be a twist in this story that I haven't figured out yet. I continued to read the other words that was written in the paper. '' First off all I would like to thank you for not making much of a scene most people that we randomly take from another world would usually freak out or would quickly kill themselves but I'm surprised that the only thing you did was run away along with meeting the characters which is fine and I know what your thinking, yes there is a twist in this world that I made just for you but to tell you the truth Alisha was supposed to be the first choice but I get that she wouldn't take it so easily compared to you who have logics and your the type of person who thinks first before they make a move. So without any further notices let's finally move to business.''
