When I finally got out for the 2nd period I felt a bit better about everything. There was one good thing about leaving for another country, I don't have to see Macey or the other damn faces of the other girls here. After school when everyone left I finally went to my locker to pack up my things. I shoved all the roses to the floor letting the janitor have the joy of cleaning up roses. I threw everything in my locker away but a picture of me, Millie, and Mr and Mrs Hoffman.

When I went outside I tried to find Millie. My eyeballs almost fell out of my eye sockets when I saw her talking to Macey! I immediately ran up to them. "What the hell are you doing!" I say to Millie. Millie, looking confused, replied. "What do you mean? Macey just asked if I wanted to go to the mall with her." I could almost smell Maceys smile from two feet away.

"Oh I bet." I say sarcastically. Macey then grinned at me, smirking. "Oh yes! Me and Millie were talking about all the things we were going to do next weekend! Oh, but you'll be gone." Macey said, putting her arm around Millie's shoulder.

I could almost picture Macey dumping Millie after I left. I would never let my only true friend get hurt like that. On impulse I punched her. Fists and everything.

"Get your bloody hands off her! She's not your toy!" Macey looked shocked.

"Wow Colette I didn't know you had it in you." Macey said as she rubbed the spot I had punched her shoulder.

Millie then shoved me. "Why the heck did you do that?" She said, I just stared at her in complete shock. Maybe she was retarded! Then Millie nodes laughing. "Oh I get it! You just don't want me to make anymore friends." She turned around to Macey, who was smiling. "That's a good girl." Macey mumbles. They were about to walk away when Drake, Maceys boyfriend, grabbed her hand. "Hey baby girl." Then they started making out in front of everyone. Millie looked like the biggest third wheel ever. I almost started laughing. After 30 seconds I thought that they would stop but they just kept on going. It honestly looked like full on sex at this point.

"We should probably go somewhere more (kisses neck) private." Drake mumbles. I sighed. "Well it looks like you made your choice Millie."

I turned and ran. Tears were streaming down my face by the time I ran to Millie's house. I ran upstairs, slammed her bedroom door and snatched my suitcase from the corner of her room. I gathered up my clothes and shoved them into the vintage suitcase Mrs Hoffman had given me for my 13th birthday. I shook with tears. I needed to find a way to hurt Millie as much as she had just hurt me. Our friendship bracelets. I knew exactly where she kept hers. Millie had made us friendship bracelets in the 7th grade and she had always kept her on her nightstand. It was one of her most prized possessions. I stumble over to her white Ikea desk and grab a pair of red scissors. I make my way to her bed and rummage around until I feel the soft bracelet made of pink, orange, and white. I grab the scissors, and with a pained cry I snip the bracelet in half. I'm too committed to stop there, so I look down at my wrist and snip. I can barely see through the tears that blurred my vision. I lay the ropes of thread on her pillow so she's sure to see them. As I was just about to leave I grabbed the beads that were woven into my bracelet that read "M+C". She wasn't going to have anything of mine except her broken promise. Just then Millie's mom walked through the door.

"Leaving so soon?" She says handing me lunch which contained an egg sandwich. "Ms Mendoza, thank you so much for your hospitality but right now I really need to go." Then without a second thought I grabbed the sandwich and suitcase and left out of the front door.
