(AN/ the first one is what I picked for her clothes.)
10 years later
As the sun rose from the horizon, the skies changed into a beautiful array of purples and pinks. Light rays filtered in through a window, casting themselves onto the face of a young girl, her gray hair spilling out over the pillow. As she woke up, her silver eyes shone like moons from the light. With a sigh she rolls over, pulling the blanket up to her neck and snuggling deeper into her bed.
Reika knew she had to wake up soon, but was trying to enjoy the last few minutes of sleep she could get. Living with Aizawa for the last ten years had changed the girl. She was no longer the naive little child anymore, she understood how the world was, with heroes and villains running around. The one thing that the underground hero made sure she understood though? Sleep.
Sleep was the most important thing. It allows your body and mind to heal and make solutions to problems you might not even have known were there. So she took his teaching to heart, maybe a bit too much, almost becoming as lazy as her guardian.
Just as she had started to drift off into her sleep once more, she heard a gentle knocking on her door. "Wake up kiddo, we're going to have to leave soon," Aizawa's voice could be heard through the door. Reika replies with a grunt, shoving her face further into her pillow before throwing her blankets off her.
She slowly sits up before dragging herself to her closet. She grabs a cropped dark grey hoodie and a pair of her black baggy cargo pants. She lays them on her bed before walking into the bathroom and taking a shower. After doing her minimal morning routine she walks out and changes into a pair of underwear and a sports bra, then the clothes she laid out.
After brushing her hair and tying it into two high ponytails, Reika exits her room before walking down the small hallway to the kitchen. There she sees Aizawa sitting with a cup of coffee in his hands, another cup in front of the chair next to him. "Are you sure about this kiddo? It's not too late to put you in with the other recommended kids." Aizawa asks once she's sat down.
After taking a drink from her coffee, she nods her head. "I'm sure. If I'm going to get into UA High, I'd rather it be because I worked for it, also to stop the comments about your favoritism from even starting." Aizawa nods his head to her statement. He was super proud of her, and he knew she'd make it no doubt. All throughout the ten years the two have lived together, he's trained her in fighting styles and also her quirk abilities. He knew she wouldn't take the easy route, she was always one to work for what she had.
"Very well then, It's almost 8:20, we might as well head over now." The two chugged their coffees before setting them in the sink for later, then made their way out of the small house and into Aizawa's car. The ride was quiet, only the music coming from the speakers making any noise. Neither Aizawa nor Reika were morning people, and they were content enough with each other to just sit in the somewhat quiet car.
They made it to the UA Entrance Exam Location by 8:40, where the entrance exam was taking place. "Good luck kiddo, I'll be busy today so I won't be able to pick you up. You know the rules right?" Aizawa asks as Reika goes to get out of the car. "Yes, don't talk to strangers, don't get in anyone's car, and if someone comes at me, incapacitate them, and all for a hero. I'll see you later Dadzawa." Reika shuts the car door, ignoring Aizawa's comment about not calling him that, and begins to make her way up the steps to the entrance of the school.
Reika ignores the other kids around her, walking around a pair talking to each other. One of them was a boy who had curly dark green hair with cute freckles, and the other was a girl with a short brown bob. Reika enters the building before finding a seat next to a guy with spiked blonde hair. Not wanting to talk to anyone she just leans back in her chair, facing the front stage. A giant UA symbol was shown on the screen, and she could see Present Mic standing in front of it, waiting for the students to come in.
Being Aizawa's adopted child, she quickly learned who Present Mic was, or Hizashi Yamada. He was good friends with Aizawa, and would constantly be over at their house, or vice versa. Reika was brought out of her thoughts when the lights in the room turned on.
"What's up UA candidates, thanks for tuning in to me, your school DJ. Come on and let me hear ya!" Present Mic announces, but the room remains silent as the other kids just stare at him. When no one said anything, Mic continued. "Keeping it mellow huh? That's fine I'll skip straight to the main show. Let's talk about how the practical exams going to go down okay? ARE YOU READY?!" Once again silence followed Mic's words, causing a small giggle to fall out of Reika's mouth.
The blonde boy next to her turns his head slightly in her direction before making a 'tech' sound with his mouth, turning back to the stage upfront once more. Reika could hear the kid on the other side of the blonde muttering some nonsense about Mic before the blonde told him to shut up.
Reika couldn't help herself from dozing off for the rest of the introduction, only tuning back in once everyone began looking at a small piece of paper. "I see they're splitting us up so we can't work with any of our friends." The blond next to her says, looking at both his papers and the ones next to him, the green-haired kids and hers. Reika looked at his ticket as well, seeing him put in Battle Center A, while the green-haired kids were in Battle Center B. "You're right, our examine numbers are one after the other but we're assigned to different battle centers." The green-haired kid mumbles. "Get your eyes off my card. Damn, I was looking forwards to crushing you." The blond says, before looking at reeks paper once more.
Reika was placed in battle center c, so it looks like she wouldn't be going against either of the two boys next to her. Reika once again tuns everyone out, only paying attention as Mic explains the point system, when another kid stands up and begins asking questions, she lets out a groan before placing her head on the desk. "Can you just shut up so we can get this over with?" She mumbles, not expecting anyone to hear her.
The blonde kid lets out a chuckle, "For real I just want to fight not sit in a lecture." They share a grin before looking away. Present Mic ends the introduction with good luck, and everyone begins heading out to their buses marked with which battle center they'd be heading to. Reika doesn't bother to say goodbye to anyone before hopping on the bus.
The bus drives them to their center, and everyone begins spilling out, excited to get the practical exam started. Reika stands off to the side, stretching as she eyes the gates. Behind it was a huge city layout, filled with the robots she needed to defeat. "Right let's get started, there are no countdowns in battle! Run run run!" She could hear Present Mic's voice clear from the battle center next to hers. As soon as he finished talking, the doors swung open, and everyone began running in.
"Right, ten minutes to get as many points as possible? This'll be fun."
