A/N: same Universe as Humanity's Strongest, hehe, think of it as a deleted scene that takes place during their honeymoon.

Levi woke to the peaceful sound of waves crashing against the sandy shore and the sound of wind on water. Lifting up his head, he was alarmed that his wife wasn't next to him. But he relaxed when he looked out the window and saw her sitting on the beach, silhouetted against the rising sun.
He made them both some tea, Ocean Air, because it was fitting.
He joined her at the shoreline, his feet sinking into the soft white sand on his way to her. The ground beneath his feet shifted to wet and squishy as he approached her. She was sitting serenely with her feet stretched out so the water ran over them when the waves came crashing down before receding again.
Her inky strands of hair whipped in the breeze as she gazed out upon the water. The water reflected the light the sun was emanating, turning the ripples into dancing sheets of gold. The sky was a confection of yellow, pink, orange, and blue, completing the peaceful atmosphere.
She turned and smiled gratefully at Levi when he handed her the tea. "Eren and Armin would have loved this," she commented a little sadly. "I know," he replied, scrutinizing her carefully.
She didn't speak further and returned her attention to the vastness of the ocean. He breathed in the salty air. The beach wasn't his favorite place because of the sand that seemed to invade every crevice, but it made her happy, so he would take her down to an isolated cabin that sat on the shore.
Levi scooted over so he could put his arm around her and she leaned into him, laying her head on his shoulder. He smiled, he couldn't imagine being anywhere else.

Levi stood under the shower, trying his damnedest to scrub every tiny grain of sand from his body. Lathering copious amounts of soap over his skin, he heard Mikasa's voice from the other room. Who was she talking to? Rinsing quickly and wrapping a towel around his waist, Levi made his way into the kitchen to find Mikasa talking to a little boy with black hair and brown eyes. The little brat had an adorable cherubic face and seemed enamored with Mikasa. He was sitting at the table munching on some cookies she had made with a glass of milk clutched in his tiny hand, chattering away as he babbled nonsense.
Levi cleared his throat from the doorway and Mikasa turned to look at him, her face turning a vivid red. "Levi, put some clothes on," she gasped. He simply glared at her through his wet bangs, "Who is this brat?" She shot him a reprimanding look, "This is Dylan. He lost sight of his family when he was playing in the water. I told him we could help him find his parents." Levi shot Dyan a dark look and all he got was an angelic smile in response. He turned away to go get some clothes from the bedroom. "The sooner he leaves, the better," Levi grumbled to himself.
Levi didn't understand why, but he had a bad feeling about this kid. He was too....cute.
Emerging from the bedroom a couple minutes later, fully clothed, Levi found Dylan still in full flow about whatever trivial things went on in his tiny brain.
"Let's just find this brat's parents and be done with this," Levi announced. Mikasa scolded him gently, "Be nice," before taking Dylan's hand and leading him out to the beach. The child glowed with happiness and skipped alongside Mikasa chirping, "You are the kindest, prettiest lady I've ever met." Levi ground his teeth together at that. What a little suck up.
Walking faster to keep up with them, Levi took his place by Mikasa's side shooting the little brat a glare out of the corner of his eye. Dylan remained oblivious to his hostility and continued gazing adoringly at Mikasa's face. That little shit wasn't even bothering to look for his parents. And damn it all to hell, Levi was not going to replace the kid's father and he refused to let Mikasa be a replacement for the kid's mother. So Levi scoured the beach, searching for two frantic adults with dark hair and dark eyes.
But then he froze when he heard an old couple walking past them coo, "What a cute family!" Rounding on them, Levi was about to give them a piece of his mind, that no they were NOT a family, but froze when he saw a familiar site.
He cursed under his breath and Mikasa was startled at his particularly foul language. Turning to follow his gaze she smiled, breaking into a run before leaping into Mei's arms.
Mei laughed, loudly and openly, spinning Mikasa around. Feng was standing beside her, unsmiling, just simply there. Dylan went running up to them shouting, "I found them aunt Mei, I found them, just like you told me to!"
Levi resignedly trudged over to the group of Asians, glaring at Dylan. No wonder he didn't like the kid. Feng didn't acknowledge him, but Levi could see him sneaking sideways looks at him.
Mei still had a huge grin on her face, "I couldn't resist seeing you guys again, so I sent Dylan to go and find you. And here you are!" Taking Mikasa by the elbow, Mei lead her a little ways away from the men, still chatting amicably.
Levi rounded on Dylan, "You little brat, what game are you playing at?" Dylan blinked up at him innocently, "Aunt Mei told me to find Mikasa and I did. Isn't that right, Uncle Feng?" Feng shrugged at Dylan, not speaking.
Levi muttered under his breath. Seriously? Mikasa was happy. What if after seeing them she wants to go back to New Asia? I still don't understand Mei or Feng. I don't know why they're here. I don't know why Mei is still so interested in Mikasa.
Mei and Mikasa walked back over and Feng discreetly jerked his head at Mei. Mei frowned slightly but turned to give Mikasa a hug. "We've got to run, but I'm glad we got to see you guys. Come on Dylan." With that, Mei and Feng quickly set off, walking the way they came, Dylan trailing after them.
"He's a really cute kid, isn't he?" Mikasa said wistfully, looking after their rapidly disappearing figures.
Levi looked at her and saw the longing on her face. He knew, better than anyone, that she really wanted a family.
Suddenly, Levi tackled Mikasa to the ground, playfully rolling on top of her and pinning her to the sand. "If you want a kid so bad, why didn't you just say so?" Mikasa blushed furiously, "Levi, we're in public!" "I don't see a problem with that," Levi replied. "I do," Mikasa declared, shoving him off of her. The moment she was on her feet, Levi grabbed her hand, running with her back to their little cabin.
