Brook threw on her shoes hurriedly as the glanced at the clock. 9:47, she's late. She was supposed to meet with her friends at the corner coffee shop half an hour ago.

Suddenly her phone goes off, and she sighs as she answers it.

"Yeah, yeah, I know. So sorry, but I'm on my way now." She spoke as she got up and headed for the door.

There was a murmur from the other side.

"What are you talking about?"

The voice was there again, this time louder.

Brooks eyebrows furrowed as she flipped her golden locks over her shoulder, and she headed for the window.

"End of the world..?" She repeated what her best friend said before realization dawned on her face as she took in the sight before her.

There was a mumbling on the other line.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm seeing it." She said softly, obviously dazed by what was in front of her. Slowly she closed the phone and let out a breath as her face became anxious, and she bolted toward the door.

She ran down the steps to her apartment quickly, internally cursing her high heeled boots for slowing her down.

Once she got outside, she looked up at the sky. There they were. Everywhere. It was an impossible thing, yet there it was.

Pigs, flying. Wings and everything.

'This must be a dream.. Or some kind of prank, yeah, that's what it is. Some sick joke.' She thought to herself, looking around. Everyone was staring at the sky. Even the animals.

Then, as quickly as they came, they were gone, and all of the birds popped, as if balloons. But Brook new that's not what they were.
