He Made Me Realize

Mitch had a hard time sleeping that night but when Scott would accidentally roll over and cuddle him he was able to fall asleep easily.

-morning-
Mitch woke up not realizing where he was.
"What where am I?"
/Hey good morning./
Just then the reality hit Mitch like a ton of bricks and he began to cry.
/hey it's ok. I'm here. Also I totally know what happened last night. I know you loved him but what he said was not ok. Also not true. You are an amazing person and you did not make him like that. He is and always will be a prick./
Mitch turned around to face Scott and hugged him tight.
"I love you Scooter."

In that moment with Mitch's head on Scott's chest he realized that maybe Scott had feelings for him and that's why Scott was always trying to protect Mitch. Also why Mike didn't like Scott. Mitch wanted to take a chance and see how Scott felt about him but didn't want to ruin the friendship they had and he just got out of a relationship he thought would last forever.
/hey Mitchie?/
"Yeah?"
/I think you need to get your mind off of things and come with me to dinner./
"I much rather order in pizza but.."
/perfect! I have an idea./
"And that is?"
/not telling you it's a surprise./
"Ok?"
/so I'm going to take a shower but feel free to stay in my bed as long as you need/
"I actually am going to take a shower too. Try to wash out the horrible feeling I have."

And with that Mitch left Scott's bed and Scott left to take a shower.
Mitch didn't want to take a shower he just wanted to go straight back into bed with Scott and cuddle with him. Where he feels safe and warm and loved.
Wait? Did Mitch have feelings for Scott?

MITCH'S POV
No he's my best friend. I am just confused because I just got my heart ripped out of my chest. But he's so cute. No! I can't think like this.
The tears came streaming down my face because this is so stressful. I now am sobbing. My body is trembling and I can hear my chest making noises.
Just then Scott came into my room and came and sat on my floor where I was. He is holding me and I am sobbing more.
