I sat up at the sound of knocking. I quickly got up and grabbed the pistol that lay under my pillow and made my way to the door. I glanced out of the peephole and saw Cris. Cris was my best friend, he was the only person that treated me like I was human when I got back from Keys and the only human that actually believed me about demons and helped me killed them. I sighed, laid the weapon down, and opened the door. "You're gonna get yourself killed you know that, right?" I told him as he walked in. He ignored my comment and looked at me worriedly as he pushed past me into my room. "We are not having this conversation." I growled at him. He sighed through his nose. "What do you have?" I asked, avoiding the conversation I knew he wanted to have with me. "It killed someone else, A girl named Samantha Jakobs." He told me. I grinned "Great. Now we've got something to do in this hellhole." I said happily. The look on his face contradicted mine. "What?" I asked, confused. "It's not in town anymore, Demi." He told me quietly. "What?! Where is it?!" I asked. "Michigan, South Haven." He told me.I sighed and ran a hand through my dyed auburn hair. "This thing is moving fast. We have to get one step ahead." I told him. "That's the difficult part." He told me. "How difficult could it be to get ahead of one demon?" I asked. By this point I was done with the guessing game that Cris and I were playing. I wanted this demon back in hell where it belonged. "This isn't just any demon." He told me in a matter-of-fact tone. "Oh, please do tell." I said sarcastically. "It's pretty much Lucifer's right hand man." He said quietly. A cold chill ran down my spine. "Do what?" I asked, my eye twitching. "He's back." Cris told me. I glared at him momentarily before I grabbed my keys and threw them at him. "Go, wait in the car." I told him.
