Chapter One

In this moment I'm just a normal girl who just moved to Houston Texas did I want to hell no but my mother just landed a new job you know how that goes she thinks it's for the best and it will benefit for both of us especially because I have one friend from my childhood that lives here Veronica I wouldn't say we're that close she's one of those girls that not only cares about the way she looks she's one of those popular girls that everyone wants to be friends with so to me I'm the misfit, the one no one care to look at when I'm around I'm invisible to everyone I'm just little ol' phoenix but back to my adorable mother she landed this big job she has her own business and it is finally going somewhere she landed a big corporate deal that could make us millionaires so we moved so she can get that deal and start making her first store here in Houston Texas. As for me the thing that is so good for me is I'll be attending Kashmere high school where I'll be going with Veronica we move around a lot and honestly I'm quite frankly tired of it. As I'm unpacking for the tenth time I'm slowly getting irritated trying to figure out what to wear for my first day of school but I here something being thrown at my window I see Veronica and two other people "hey loser long time no see you look good girl" says Veronica. As I'm smiling about to answer this bitch I see him the boy that changed my life forever but not only changed my life he opened my eyes to alot of things I didn't notice before in this city but you will find that out soon enough " hey Veronica you haven't changed a bit haven't you" as I chuckle I try to be cute as I'm laughing so the dark haired stranger will notice me but I'm socially awkward and anti social as fuck so you already know that didn't go as planned " don't mean to interrupt your little reunion but I have places to be" says dark haired stranger. Veronica gets annoyed but quickly changed her attitude "hey Zane give me a minute hun then we can go to the party deal" says Veronica. Zane that's his name saying his name in my head made my heart drop feel like I already know him he looks familiar like I know him I already acknowledged that but I'm not going to say anything Zane doesn't say much but walks over to his motorcycle " so tomorrow first day of school don't forget I'm coming to get you and please try to dress like um I don't know like me a little bit but of course make sure it's comfortable for you to wear see ya girl it was nice seeing you but I'm bout to go get some awesome dick from Zane's brother Daemon" says Veronica I shut my window back and think to myself what a whore but who am I kidding I never had sex nor been in a relationship so what do I know I pull out a red tank top Veronica gave me before I moved to dumb ass Washington D.C. and a black skirt with converse shoes I know what your thinking look she said be comfortable in what I'm wearing. I lie down on my bed the only thing that's unpacked in my room (I'm not unpacking shit just in case we move again) i fall asleep i start having this dream im Veronica I see Zane and Daemon were in the woods daemon comes up to me " so sexy let's play a game" his eyes turn red I don't know what the fuck is going on I don't have control over Veronica's body it's like I'm having a vision Veronica starts running before I know it Daemon jumps on her and grabs her neck Zane grabs his hand "just because we're in private doesn't mean shit don't make a fucking mess I'm tired of cleaning after your shit" says Zane Daemon nods " good little game huh looks like you lose though" as a smile comes from his mouth and his bites her neck. I jump up in my sleep apart of me wants to call Veronica to check on her but the other part is thinking she is probably okay and it was just a dream no matter how real it felt she probably gonna be laughing at me anyway I can hear her now I won't hear the end of it tomorrow if I call her I'll see her tomorrow anyway . The next morning I change my outfit and go downstairs for breakfast as I wait for Veronica to come get me my mom has the news on apparently a girl is dead in the news her body is burned so bad they can identify her it makes me think about my dream " hey sweetie Veronica mom called said a boy named Zane is coming to take you to school Veronica doesn't feel well this morning" says my mom well kill me now why out of all people she knows she had to pick Zane to take me to school and of course he goes to kashmere she probably saw me staring at him I'm so fucking awkward she knows actually what she's doing as soon as she feels better I'm going to kill her with my bare hands it's like that girl automatically knows shit she did this on purpose as I'm panicking in my head the doorbell rings my mom answers the door " hello I'm Zane I'm here to take Phoenix to school" I think I'm going to throw up
