Kansas City Chiefs Tight End, Travis Kelce, goes to see Taylor Swift on a night off. She doesn't have time to meet him, but what happens when she reaches out to him after hearing about his experience on his podcast?
Taylor POV It has been a few days since I have seen Trav. He had to go back to the States to get ready for his game this Sunday. Unfortunately, I won't be able to make this one because I will be doing my shows in Rio. I'm in my dressing room getting when my phone starts ringing. I smiled when I saw Trav's name on the screen. "Hey!" I say excitedly when I answer the phone. "Hey baby girl. I know that you are getting ready for the show, but I just wanted to tell you good luck. I know you are going to do amazing. I'm sorry I can't be there for this one." He says, and I can hear a slight sadness in his voice. "It's ok Trav. I hate that I can't be there for you either. These are my last couple shows until after the holidays. We will have plenty of time to spend together." "Speaking of, I wanted to ask you something. What do you think about coming to stay with me in KC some during your break?" He asks, and I can't help but smile. "I would love that." We talk and plan a little more before I have to finish getting ready for the show.
It is so hot in Rio. Having all these lights on me and the quick changes just make it worse. I can't seem to get enough water. I can see the fans in the audience are getting too hot and on the verge of passing out. "I need water over here." I say into the mic while pointing at a fan by the stage. Security quickly gets her bottled water, while handing me a bottle as well. I move the mic away from my mouth and lean down to the security guy in front of me. "These people need water. Put some by the stage and give it to whoever needs it." He nods his head and starts moving.

I've been throwing water bottle into the crowd the whole show. It's coming to the end of the show and I'm struggling to breathe. I have never been this hot. My entire body is covered in sweat. "Just a couple more songs Taylor. You can do this." I tell myself. I force myself to finish the last few songs and then I am rushed from the stadium to the hotel so I can get some air. "Taylor, I know you are going to hate this, but we have to postpone tomorrow's show. It's supposed to be even hotter and it's going to be too dangerous for you and your fans. We are talking to the stadium crew to make some improvements to get you back on stage on Monday." My tour manager says while we are all trying to cool off. "Whatever we need to do to keep everyone safe needs to be done. I can't do another night like tonight."
Travis POV I just got home from practice and I'm scrolling through TikTok. I'm seeing all these videos from Taylor's show in Rio. There is videos of her tossing water bottles into the crowd from the stage, and some where it looks like she is struggling to breathe. I want to call her but I know she will call me when she gets settled. About 30 minutes later, I see her name pop up on my phone. "Hey, are you ok Tay?" I ask instantly. "Trav, I have never played a show so horrible in my life. It was so hot. People were fainting, I was struggling to breathe. I have never had to throw water at my fans." She says, and I can tell she is crying. "They have already postponed the show for tomorrow night until Monday. I probably won't get to Kansas City until Wednesday." "Baby, it's ok. You do what you have to to keep everyone safe. I will be here when you get here."

Wednesday Taylor will be landing soon and I can't wait to have her in my arms. I've seen the stones and I've seen the threats and I know that my girl has had a rough few days. Her plane lands and my driver pulls the car up next to it. It takes a few minutes but I finally see her coming out of the plane. I get out of the car and she drops her bags and walks straight into my arms. "I'm so happy to be here. I never want to have another weekend like that ever again." She looked up at me with tears in her eyes and I leaned down to kiss her. "I'm so sorry I wasn't there baby. Come on, let's get you home."
