Pegasus lands as Wonderboy literally gets flicked by the cyclopes and lands into a pillar. His human body cannot take any more of this.
"Hercules!"
"Phil."
"Come on, kid. Come on. Fight back. Come on, you can take this bum. This guy's a pushover. Look at him." Phil says as he takes a handkerchief out of his bag and wipes Hercules' bruised face.
"You were right all along, Phil. Dreams are for rookies." Hercules says a he glares at me and a pang of guilt explodes into my stomach.
"No, no, no, kid. Giving up is for rookies. I came back 'cause I'm not quittin' on ya. I'm willing to go the distance. How 'bout you?" Phil says a he grabs Wonderboy's chin as a loud crash comes from the cyclopes. A huge orange hand comes out of no where and takes Hercules and pulls him up in the sky.
"Me bite off head!" The monster exclaims as Wonderboy comes near a flaming cart fool of burning wood. Hercules grabs on of the wood pieces that are on fire and stabs it into the cyclopes' eye. The monster drops Wonderboy into a cart and as he falls.
"Whoa, baby!" Phil exclaims as he a Pegasus have a small celebration. Wonderboy then grabs rope and tangles the cyclopes' feet in it. The monster falls down screaming as he is about to crush Hercules. Thankfully, Wonderboy moves out of the way for the monster to fall off the cliff. For a moment I think he is safe, but then one of the pillars is broken and starts to fall down on him.
"Hercules! Look out!" I say and without thinking; I push him out of the way. He rolls almost to the edge of the cliff.
"Meg! No!" He exclaims as the pillar crashes on top of me. I then feel the heaviness start to lighten up.
"What's happening?" Herc asks and I open my eyes to wince again from the pain and groan.
"Hades deal is broken...he promised I wouldn't get hurt." I say as I wince for a second time as I fully get on to my back. Hercules rushes over to me and kneels on his knees.
"Meg, why did you...you didn't have to."
"Oh, people always do crazy things when they're in love." I say, and Hercules gives me this strange look.
"What do you mean? I never actually loved you. I mean I had a slight crush on you but frankly you were never my type." I look up at him in horror as I eventually go under with the horrible realization that I fell for another jerk.
