The next day I wake up realizing my dad must've drugged the food, trying to kill me by overdose, but his plan failed but I knew what to do. I had to call the cops telling them my father tried killing me.
And to think I was about to forgive him.
I heard his footsteps coming to my room and I knew he can't see if someone's breathing so I only had to act dead by not moving and having my eyes shut. Once my father entered the room I heard his laugh right outside my room I started my act.
"Oh darling I hope you actually ate your food last night and if you didn't I'm going to kill you myself," my dad says walking into my room.
Once I heard him get closer I knew my hands were hidden under the blanket and that I have a bracelet that can contact the police station I press the watch three times.
Meaning "he's here." The cops know what "he's here" means so the cops will be able to save me from him.
"Good looks like my job is done," my father says answering laughing and then leaving locking the door to my room.
I quit the act and I break my window knowing the cops will see me.
When I heard the sirens I knew I'd be safe but I wouldn't go to my mom. I'd be going to foster care.
"Ma'am! Ma'am you there?" I hear what sounded like a nurse asking.
I then open my eyes and see I'm in a hospital. I'm guessing that I was still sleepy and I jumped out of a two story house in the second floor.
"Yes I am," I say then feeling pain all over.
"Okay. You're here because you jumped out of a window onto the ground," the nurse says then asking, "any pain in your head?"
"Yes a lot," I respond to the nurse only making the pain worse.
"Okay, well for one if you stop talking it won't hurt as much because you hit your head on the ground really hard," the nurse says worry taking over her voice.
It was awful, dreadful to say the least. After a little the nurse left giving me a medicine that made me tired but to help with the pain. When I felt tired I decided to take a nap.
After an hour I woke up seeing the nurse by me telling me that it was time to eat.
"Dear, your father has been sent to jail," the nurse told me making me relieved, "but you can't live with your mother."
"WHAT!" I yelled anger taking my voice.
