Hello, everyone. My username is EmmaSmoke. You may know me as that, or author, or mauthor, or any number of other titles. I am the only writer of this book and many other titles that you might have seen or read yourself.

I want to start this off by saying that I love you all. I am extremely grateful for all the support you've given me— the bookmarks, the follows, the kudos, and most of all, the comments. Every time I start to feel down or unsure about this book, you guys are there to lift me back up and remind why I like writing, why I like writing this book specifically.

I am certain that most of you have heard about what has happened to Shubble recently. If you haven't, check out her vod, but the tl;dr is that Shubble has come out to expose her abusive ex-boyfriend. While she didn't give us his name, a good majority of people are speculating that this ex is Wilbur given the characteristics Shubble told us matching Wilbur.

I'm not here to tell that it is or isn't Wilbur. I'm not here to theorize about it or who it could be. Any comments like that will be deleted.

Our primary concern is, and should be, Shubble. No one deserves to go what she went through. She was very brave to tell the world this story. We have to respect her and her decisions. Since she chose not to say anyone's name, we have to accept that, full stop.

And, just to remind you all, regardless if it was Wilbur or not, no matter if we ever get told who it was, do NOT spam whoever it is on social media or by email or whatever form of communication you use. It is extremely dangerous to antagonize violent individuals. For your safety and for Shubble's safety, leave whoever the abuser is alone. Block them, shit on them on your own time, unsubscribe, boycott, whatever. Don't get yourself or Shubble in trouble.

Now, you might be wondering why I'm going on hiatus if I'm taking a neutral stance. The reason is that I want to wait for Wilbur's response, whatever it may be. Sources tell me that he's on a mental health break right now (that he has been since before this, I believe), so he either hasn't seen what's going on or he's processing it on top of whatever his break was originally for. Let him take his time. He'll either come back or he'll disappear from all forms of content (Lovejoy, Sorry Boys, and QSMP come to mind).

Wilbur is a very important character in this book. He was going to feature prominently in today's planned chapter. So, I don't want to perpetuate the situation by writing about him until I know for certain.

For right now, my completed works will remain up for people to read. I will finish Fatebreaker since he doesn't feature as prominently there. Some of my uncompleted works will remain unfinished for the time being. And this book, Debts To Be Settled, will be on hiatus until further notice.

Remember, you are still allowed to like and derive comfort from DSMP, QSMP, Lovejoy, Sorry Boys, etc. While Wilbur may be part of those, there are other people who did work on those and they deserve their credit.

Remember, support Shubble 100%. She is kind and brave, and she deserves your respect. She does not deserve your stupidity if you actively choose to antagonize who could be, or if it's revealed, who is her abuser.

Remember, I love you guys. No amount of drama is going to make me stop appreciating all of you. If further news develops, I will be there to tell you guys if I'm continuing writing, if I'm throwing in the towel, if I'm switching fandoms to write for, and all that jazz.

Stay safe. Be kind. Be earnest. Keep in mind that people feel pain, physical and mental and emotional, and you can either be the cause of that pain or you can ease.

I will see you all next time! Have a good [insert time]!

Signing off,

EmmaSmoke
