Hello, this is the author speaking and I would like to explain a few things before you start reading Silent Nights. The table of contents for this note is as follows:

Although obvious, I'll give a run down on what to expect on each content.

For Apology, I am mostly referring to the old readers who were here way before I even adopted this book in my care and is explaining why haven't I updated for so long.

History contains just a short run down on who is the original and previous owner of this book, so basically a content dedicated for crediting the original owner. But included in history are some changes I had decided to make.

Update Schedule will discuss the name itself, and reasoning why so. Hopefully that made sense.

Warnings is the content where you would find the warnings meant for this book and some are generally not serious warnings, but there may be people who find it displeasing so I decided to add it. The warnings in this book pertain more to the warnings for the first few chapters I'll be releasing. Don't worry, warnings will still be given as this book pregresses.

And End will contain my farewell on this note.

There will be a "TL;DR" for the ones who wish to not read me yapping, so don't worry. I still advise you to read the warnings the most though.

1. Apology
Okay, so, I will be informal in this part a bit. And oh my gosh, I am so fucking sorry for not updating for who knows how long. Two years I believe. And please know that I am really disappointed in myself for not updating this book even after giving a promise to finish this book and yet I did anything but that until now.

I am very much aware and understanding if you won't believe me that I will be updating, or that I will finish this book, but know I am not planning on discontinuing this book. I really wish to finish this book for my and the readers' sake. Again, I will not blame you if you think I am not able to do that especially as I know I'm very unreliable.

For my reasons on why I haven't updated much, academics are just hard to maintain. I'm sure this is a sentiment student authors experience and I am one of them. There's just many things for me to be busy on, especially since my school just started on July 29, 2024, and school is already so hectic. With school events, research (Math Investigation specifically for my case) and generally my other academics.

My other reason is that I needed to have time to self reflect. I always do self reflection but I have never once tried to improve. I had the mindset of "If it's done, it's done. If you were dumb, you were dumb" kind of mindset and I am trying to improve. One way I found myself to be able to improve is to actually update my books and for once, actually fix it. I am trying to teach myself how to do things now (make good storylines, editing, progression, etc) and I hope that I will be able to satisfy my readers.

TL;DR : I'm sorry I'm not able to update much due to academic and mental health reasons.

2. History
The original author of the book Silent Nights is [ 5cookiekitty ] and had discontinued the book and that was when I decided to adopt it when adoption was open.

Originally, the reader is based off of Kamado Nezuko from the anime Demon Slayer / Kimetsu no Yaiba. While the reader being based on Nezuko still stays, I will try to at least give the reader a bit more personality, or some personality to at least differentiate the reader from Nezuko. I'm profusely apologizing to those who disliked that part within this book. I was having struggles on creating a reader based book as I rely mostly on OCs who already have personality, looks, ambitions, etc.. So writing a book with a MC that varies in many great ways was a difficulty. But I'll try to add more personality to the MC this time. Please send helpful tips if you wish.

Along with that, although me and the original author had discussed over the plotline they wished, I completely lost my screenshots of our conversation so some things will be tweaked now. I am profusely and sincerely apologizing.

TL:DR : Original author is [ 5cookiekitty ] and the reader will still be based on Nezuko from KnY but I'm trying to give the MC more personality.

3. Update Schedule
As of now, I cannot do what is said in my description of updating every weekend. I did not expect to be swarmed by so many activities just from the first month of school, and then by September we will be having the first exams and that is just too much and not really giving me time to write my chapters or be creative at all.

So what I decided is to update every month until I am finished with this or until I can find a way to squeeze in my writings so that I could update in another way. But as of now, we'll stick to monthly updates. How many chapters will I post in each month? I do not have a definitive answer to that but more than five is what my goal is. Why? Well, I have academics to focus on as you can probably guess from the first paragraph of this content. Hopefully, all of you can understand why I can only update monthly and can be patient with me.

TL;DR : I will be updating this book at least five chapters a month unless or until I find a way to change that schedule.

4. Warnings
As I had mentions at the start of this note, the warnings here will particularly refer to the first few chapters I will be releasing, and for the sake of my own convenience, I'll call it "Act I" and so on and so forth with the others even if they can't be categorized as Acts. If you guys have a name you wish to be used as a better way to differentiate each part, don't be shy about suggesting. That most likely didn't make sense but please roll with it.

Take note that there will be parts within the stories where I am unsure whether or not I have done a great job so I will be adding some "Bad ___" or "Inaccurate ___" on the parts where I'm unsure if I executed it properly. If you have tips to give, please don't be shy to fix my mistakes.

Please note that I will not be putting warnings at the start of each chapter. This note will have all the warnings for Act I. If any of you are to be surprised about dark aspects of the story, please do not complain. This is a Creepypasta story for one, and there are warnings here for two. Please read this story with caution if you're particularly sensitive to the topics placed on the warnings or just drop the story overall.

TL;DR : The warnings for the first few chapters ("Act I") and the general warnings are here, there will be no warnings at the start of the chapters so please read with caution or drop the book if you are displeased.
