Eric's POV~~~***~~~
"Are we all set on the final headcount, Levi?"
He flashes me a thumbs up.
"Shades on, comrades. Let's split." I command to my posse of Hot Spot individuals as we put on our Ray Bans, and walk into Woodwind High for the first time as seniors.

"Hey Eric!"
"What's up, Ric?"
"How you doing, old friend?"
News flash people, yelling at me before I had my first espresso is a BAD idea.
Here's the thing; To get into Hot Spot, you must be invited by one of its members. To be invited by us, you have to be our kind of people.
Now, I guess some of these morons think that all it takes is yelling at me, the leader of Hot Spot.
On my way to homeroom, I run into Gia. Gia Mackfield, the co-leader of HS, is probably one of our most dedicated and freshest members and one of my best friends.
Usually her chirpy mood amused me, but today, all I want to do was punch her in the face.
I don't care if she's a girl or not. She insisted that everyone at Hot Spot be treated the same, it didn't matter if you were a guy or a girl.
Now, I don't like admitting it, but believe it or not, Gia was actually the second strongest and bravest person in the group.
Who is the strongest? Me, as if you didn't already know.
"Oh my freaking god! Ricky! I can't believe we're finally seniors! Can you believe how exciting this is?! We're the big kids now, everyone is going to look up to us!" she pauses to think for a second, "As if they didn't already... But anyway, I was thinking that we should expand our group a little, ya know? I mean 6 people is all fine and dandy, but it seems like during our last year as the Hot Spot we should expand our finest little clique!"
"Actually, that's not a bad idea..." I reply thoughtfully, "Did you have anyone specific in mind?"
"Well, it's only the first day of school but I was thinking--"
"Hold that thought." I cut her off as we stop by my locker to get some fresh coffee. I chugged it down and turn back to her, "Continue."
"So, I was thinking of James Adams, Vanders Mayfied, and Lexi Greene. But then again, it's only the first day of school. I should have more people to check out."
"Well that sounds good enough for now. Do you know where their lockers are?" she nods, "Did you break into the school directory again?"
"Um yes, and no. Except not no. So to sum it up, yeah!"
"I knew I could count on you G. Can you have the invitations taped to their lockers before homeroom tomorrow?"
"Sure, thing boss. Honorary invites? Or regular?"
"I don't know, are they worth it?"
"Vanders definitely is. The rest, I don't think so." she responds.
"All right, have Dani help you track them down if they don't respond right away. But I don't think that should be a problem." Usually people respond to the invites as soon as they see them, "Okay you can go to your homeroom now, we don't want to be late. Who's are you in?"
"Sheffield."
"No way, man! Me too! She is such a pushover, I wish I had her for geometry!"
She mutters some joke about me being bad at geometry but I tune her out as we walk into the classroom.
