Chapter - 12

Viraj's POV

      At around 9:30 PM, we both reached the mansion after tragic incident and I stopped the car in front of the gate before going inside. I move my gaze towards her and she also did the same. We both have a eye-contact with each other.

"There's something I want to tell you before we head in.
You'll experience many such events that never happened to you before."
"Life as you know it doesn't exist anymore. So, please don't keep trying to run away."
"This is the only place where you're safe." I said pointing towards the mansion.

She looked at mansion and then back at me and nodded towards me.

"Thanks for coming back." She said.

"I'll always come back." I replied with a smirked. I take the car inside the mansion.

  We both reached inside. I was walking ahead and she is following me. While walking through the living room, I heard the sound of laughing from the dining table, so I went straight there and she also followed me.

My family is having early breakfast today. Aunty sees me coming so she calls my name "Viraj", then everyone pays attention to me and everyone looks at me. They must have seen Kavya behind me also.

"Jaggi" I called him when I reach near dining table.

"Chachi, take Kavya to her room, please." I said to my aunt.

"Yes, for sure." She said and get up for her place and takes Kavya with her.

"Yes, boss" Jaggi said as he comes.

"There was an attack at Vinod Ji's house. Find out who ordered it." I said loudly so that Kavya can also hear.

"Yes, boss" Jaggi said and leaves from there.

     After Kavya left, I too was going towards my room when my mother stopped me. I don't look at her, I just stand in my place.

"Viraj, come you also have breakfast." She said.

"No, you guys have breakfast, I have some work." I said and left from there.

     I go to my room. I sat on the bed and leaned my back on the bed. I sigh and close my eyes. As soon as I closed my eyes, the only person came to my mind: Kavya.

      I avoid thinking about it. I opened my eyes and walked towards the washroom and took shower. I am wearing dark blue trousers and a white shirt with black stripes on it. I came out of my room, went to the living room and sat on the couch.

      Suddenly some thoughts came to my mind that, Is Kavya telling the truth? Does she really not know Karan? May be she is lying to me or not? Is it possible that I am doing something wrong?
