I listened in as Tasia answered the phone, and to my surprise, it was her husband Kendall on the line. A pang of mixed emotions hit me as I eavesdropped on their conversation. "Hello," Tasia greeted him, her voice sounding slightly guarded.

I couldn't really hear Kendall's side of the conversation as Tasia's responses came in snippets. "No, I'm home. How was everything?" she asked."That's good,im actually with taraji now" she replied . Then came a pause, followed by her asking, "Why did you say it like that?" making me wonder what was said?

I watched as Tasia's expression shifted, her brow furrowing in confusion. After a brief exchange, she pulled the phone away from her ear, ending the call with a muttered, "Love you too. Bye."

"Is everything alright?" I couldn't help but ask, concerned by the tension I sensed in the air. "Yeah, that was just Ken" Tasia replied, attempting to downplay the situation.

"oh ok" I said not wanting to seem to nosey but the questions in my mind still lingered. We winded up stopping our card game and engaging in simple conversation

"so are you ready for your trip tomorrow" tasia asked me."not really , baby I need a break all this running around is tiring "

"girl trust me I get it, but don't worry it'll be fast" I hoped so , im just ready to be home "I pray it will, you know imma miss you love bug"I admitted."oh me" she said saracasticly smiling ear to ear .

"yes you ,I see you almost everyday an now im not "

"you really do love me don't you" although I knew she was jokingly speaking ,I did feel something, a tug at my heart strings, truthfully I could say that I did love her. The way her eyes twinkled when she spoke , the way-

"you know you sure do that a lot"

"do what?" I said pulling away from my thoughts ."if only I could get inside your mind" tasia said. I couldn't help but laugh softly at her comment. "Oh, darling, if you only knew the chaos you'd find in there."I muttered more so to myself.

Our night pretty much concluded there , in the morning we said our goodbyes and I was off to stop by my house a head on my business trip

The city bustled around Taraji as she hurried through the crowded streets, her heels clicking against the pavement with each hurried step. Clutching her phone tightly in her hand, her brow furrowed with worry as she tried to navigate. The weight of responsibility pressed down on her shoulders, the stress of her faltering business trip weighing heavily on her mind.

With a frustrated sigh, Taraji paused on the sidewalk, her gaze flickering to the screen of her phone. She hesitated for a moment before dialing Tasia's number, seeking her comfort and reassurance.

As the phone rang, Taraji chewed nervously on her bottom lip, her heart racing with anticipation. After a few moments, Tasia's voice filled the line, warm and familiar.

"Hey, Taraji What's up?" Tasia's cheerful greeting offered a brief respite from Taraji's mounting anxiety. The sound of her soft voice automatically calmed her down .

"Tasia, hey," Taraji replied, her voice strained with tension. "I... I need to talk. This business trip isn't going well at all. Everything is falling apart, and I don't know what to do."

A rush of relief washed over Taraji as she poured out her frustrations to Tasia, the weight of her worries lifting with each word. Tasia listened patiently, offering words of encouragement and support as Taraji unloaded the burdens that had been weighing on her mind.

As the conversation drew to a close, Taraji felt a renewed sense of determination stirring within her. With Tasia's unwavering support by her side, she knew she could face whatever challenges lay ahead.

"Thank you, Tasia," Taraji said, her voice filled with gratitude. "I don't know what I would do without you."

"Anytime, my love . You've got this"
Tasia said suddenly giving Taraji this tingly feeling inside.
"Thanks, I'm gonna call you later when I get back to the hotel "Taraji said knowing once she got off the phone she'd be yearning to hear her voice once more .
"Alright I'll be waiting " Tasia said. Raji could've sworn she was sensing some flirtation but was she really ?
"Ok , I'll see you later "
"Yes ,bye bye "

I made my way back to the building where the meeting took place in a lounge chair outside of the holding room . We were on break so I had a few mins to myself to think .Her voice lingered in my mind, sending a rush of heat through my body. There was something different about it today – a sultry undertone that left me feeling a little flustered.

Leaning back in my chair, I closed my eyes, replaying our conversation in my head. Each word she spoke seemed to dance around me, wrapping me in a seductive embrace that I couldn't resist.

Lost in a whirlwind of thoughts, I found myself fantasizing about Tasia – her radiant smile, her magnetic presence. She had always been beautiful and captivating, but today, there was something more .

With a soft sigh, I shook myself from my reverie, I knew that Tasia would always hold a special place in my heart, but never in that way .For one she's married and I would never in life cross that boundary and secondly we have a great friendship I would be stupid to mess that up .

I began to second guess our call later on I mean her night time voice was truly something, how would I just subside all my feelings . Maybe I should just text her tomorrow an say I forgot .
