A Fateful Tale (Guardian Tales x OC)

Prologue

"Chapter Start!"

In a land where the sun shine bright, stood a mighty kingdom, The Kingdom Kanterbury.

"Good work, guys. At ease!" A person overlooking the Knights training shouted, this person is not other that the 19th Captain of the Guardian, Knight Captain, Eva.

"As Guardians, It is our duty to protect Kanterbury from evil. Keep improving yourselves!" The knights salute as they receive the Captain encouragement.

"Today we finally have a new recruit who passed the entrance exams." Eva's eyes landed on the Knights in front of her, "Step up and report yourself, New Guardian!"

A quite, young, and passionate Guardian step up, revealing the determined face of the young woman.

"Grats, brat. I knew you would make it!" The knight jolts as she received a smack on the shoulder, she look behind to find a grinning young man.

"Cyrus! Be more polite to the new recruit! You're a Vice-Captain now, so act like one!" Eva scold the young man as he just respond with an eye-roll.

"Yeah, yeah...Nee-san." The pink-haired man nonchalantly responded, seemingly didn't take the word of his older sister to any value.

"That's Captain Eva in duty, mister!" Eva sigh as the childish behavior of her brother, he's skills in battle is very incredible, but his behavior is no better than a toddler.

"I expect you to become a full-!" Before Eva can continue her lecture the ground shook.

"Huff...! Huff...! Captain Eva! Vice-Captain Cyrus! it's an emergency! a large unidentified object is approaching from the sky!" A panicked Knight quickly report as the two become more serious as they get to a higher place.

Once there the see the once bright sky had turn dark and ominous, before long a flying castle appears, and-

*BANG-! BOOM!* *BANG-BOOM!*

-it start shooting fireballs onto the Kingdom, the enemies didn't just enter through the sky they intent to destroy anything below it...

The situation had turned, and the civilians and guardians is sent into a state of panicked.

"Alert the Guardians and set up a defense line at wall 7!" Eva shouted as the Knights immediately do as they ordered.

She turn around to see the nervous newbie, "Stay behind until-"

*BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!*

Before Eva can finish her sentence a fireball land directly to them and blow them away, "Damn it! Aegis! Protect my ally!" Immediately a golden orb encase the people around the explosion protecting from the blast.

Both Cyrus and Eva land back down on one of the still standing walls, "Crap... if only I was faster-"

"Now not the time! We need to evacuate the civilians immediately!" Eva remind him as Cyrus shake his head before nodding.

"Aegis only actived once the initial blast land, but it the immediate activation should protect everyone nearby, but soon it will dispel!" Cyrus tell his sister as she understand.

"Can you track them, Cyrus?" He nods as she Eva figure their first move, "First we locate the people using Aegis while also searching for civilians and injured Guardians along the way!"

But before they can make their move they are stopped by a small group of people, the group were was different from the enemies they've encountered before, from their orange and yellow body to the black masks covering their faces to the dark ominous armor they wore, they we're simply inhumane...
