"Chapter Start!"
---------------------------------------------------------
(Cyrus's POV)
"Ugh..." I groaned, as I slowly open my eyes.
I analyze my surrounding, taking notes of the many trees that surrounded me. And simply deducted that I'm somewhere around Kanterbury's outskirts.
I then noticed the many tree branches around me, before looking up to see the reason I'm still alive for such a nasty fall.
Wait a minute...
Fall...?
"-! Fuck! Cammie and the others!" I quickly jolted up, before groaning in pain as I finally take noticed of the injuries from the fall.
I force my body to stand as the searing pain keep stabbing into me, but I continue to ignore it.
"You're still alive from falling from the sky? The Guardians sure are impressive." A mysterious voice catch my attention as I quickly turn to the side to met the gaze of a knight, who's armor didn't resemble one of Kanterbury's.
Clad in heavy plate armor, its sheen hinting at both prestige and battle-hardiness, she commands attention. Her attire, a somber palette of blacks and grays punctuated by accents of imperial red, speaks of her status and disciplined nature.
Her face is a mask of stoicism, with her deep red eyes staring right through me. There's an aura of authority and unwavering resolve about her, a sentinel ready to finished the mission given to her.
"You're... The Dragon Knight from Rah..." I stare at her with focus, trying to cover the confusion inside me.
Why would a knight of Rah be here? Did they play a part in the Invaders attack? What they reasoning to be here?
And why didn't she attack me during my time unconscious?
"And you're the Vice-Captain from Guardians." She stated her crimson eyes bore through me, seemingly trying to analyze me.
"Why would a Knight of Rah be here? Did Rah collaborate with those Invaders to attacked Kanterbury?" I try to keep my calm, but anger and pain shoot up on me on the possibility of Rah playing a part on the attack.
My breath hitch as a sudden feeling of cold metal press against the side of my neck, "It wouldn't be wise to blatantly blame a country without any evidence supporting your claim, Cyrus, Knight of Guardian."
"My purpose here, is none of your concern as it didn't effect any political stand. As regarding the attacks, my presence here is nothing but coincidence." She pull her blade back and then turn around and start walking away.
"But knowing the situation, Rah will receive Kanterbury's refugees with opened hands." With that final word she left, leaving nothing behind.
But while I still suspicious of Rah potential play in this matter, I ignore it for now.
While we managed to evacuate most of the citizens, only gods know what happened beyond that, or those left behind.
As I try to navigate through the forest I found my blade, Radiance. funnily near a shallow dark cave.
The healing light of Radiance take care of any previous injuries that come from my nasty fall from the sky, as I then continue navigating out through the forest.
