39: Nogitsune

In the Cullen's house...

Everyone just getting a little comfortable as they are about to hear the story that Scott about to explain of why does Stiles thinks its his fault that their best friend, Allison, died. But really, Scott seemed to have stalled a little as he didn't like to repeat memories or at least talk about it. He was too angry to talk about it like he almost blamed his brotherly best friend, Stiles, but deep down, he knew it wasn't Stiles's fault because he had no control to his own body for what he went through and he was weakened. Malia still held his hand, stroking his hand with her thumb to comfort him reassuringly while Mason and Corey sat quietly and watched Scott curiously. They heard footsteps approaching as they all looked up to see Edward had his arm around Lydia's waist, supporting her as they walked over to the couch. Well, Lydia hopped over to the couch due to her broken ankle.

"You supposed to be rest." Carlisle said.

"Scott shouldn't go through this alone, I was there. Malia, Mason, and Corey haven't." Lydia said. Everyone understood and nodded slightly, Lydia getting comfortable next to Scott before taking his right hand in hers while Malia already got his left hand, Edward went over to opposite the couch to sit with his adoptive parents.

"Let's start with how did it happen in the first place... Kira, our friend, her mother, Noshiko Yukimura, was responsible for summoning the Nogitsune in 1943, when the aftermath of the riots at the Oak Creek internment camp made her so angry that she prayed to her Kitsune ancestors to allow a powerful Nogitsune to imbue her injured body with power and heal her so she could take revenge on those responsible for the deaths of her fellow internees. However, instead of possessing her as intended, the Nogitsune actually possessed the body of her recently deceased lover, Corporal Rhys, who then went on and killed the remaining campers and employees at Oak Creek before Noshiko and her friend Satomi Ito neutralized the Nogitsune by expelling it from Rhys' body with Noshiko's magical katana, causing him to revert to his fly form, which was then trapped in a jar and buried in the roots of the Nemeton. But then something happened a few months ago..." Scott looked over to Lydia.

Lydia decided to help him out and just prepare to continue the story, "The primary beings with this power are Druids who have gone dark, also known as Darachs, and have used ritual human sacrifices to connect to and become in-sync with telluric currents. Jennifer Blake, a Darach who was formerly an Emissary to Kali and her original pack prior to the formation of the Alpha pack, used this power to cause earthquakes throughout Beacon Hills her intention was to destroy the root cellar under the Nemeton and kill Noah Stilinski, Chris Argent and Melissa McCall as the last trio of human sacrifices, which would give her the power necessary to kill Deucalion. The Nogitsune would remain a prisoner in this jar until Stiles, Scott, and Allison's surrogate sacrifice ritual, in conjunction with Jennifer Blake's power causing the Nemeton's root cellar to collapse, unintentionally released the Nogitsune..." Lydia sighed heavily, her hands trembling under Scott's hand who squeezed it and stroked her hand with his thumb, Mason, who could tell the tension and rubbed her back in circles before Scott decided take over. Everyone could tell this is something they wished not to relive the memories or talk about it.

"The Nogitsune then... possessed Stiles's weakened body at some point afterwards, using his then-limited control over Stiles to commit acts of chaos, strife, and pain that killed multiple people over the span of several weeks that... includes Allison. After eventually amassing enough power to leave Stiles' body and create his own human body that was identical to Stiles, he went on to attempt to force Stiles to kill himself, claiming to end the game if he did so. However, when Lydia, Stiles, Kira, and I finally saw through the illusion he had created around us, we were able to fight back. Eventually, we defeated the Nogitsune after I gave him the bite, weakening him enough for Kira to stab him with her katana, turning his vessel to dust and once again reverting him back to fly form, which was trapped in a box made of wood of the Nemeton before it was cut down." Scott finished the story. Everyone was a little speechless, and more importantly, they all felt sorry for the young man, Stiles, that he had to go through this tragedy.
